Hi! I love making phone friendly fancams of Xdinary Heroes Jooyeon! I usually post them on twitter first (@herojoo912) and then I upload them here as well for better video quality (since twitter messes it up quite a lot...) I hope you enjoy! ^^
He is! Someone told me that he actually want to learn how to growl! I was also watching a reaction video to the MV and they said the lyrical style reminds them of Linkin Park. Someone in the comments mentioned that JunHan is a huge Linkin Park fan. I think they’re all pretty enthusiastic about heavier music. I watched the video about the making of the music video and they all seemed to having fun and into it. Jooyeon was really into it too as you could probably guess 😂
@@tazthecat5258 At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if they drop a metal album. I had an inkling they were a fan of it when they covered BMTH. Imagine them at a music festival like Warped Tour.
@@hannahishome Okay, I am no expert and this is all speculation, but I’m thinking that JYP wants them to be a hard rock group, weaving in and out of heavier and lighter songs. I think they’re trying to tap into the rock industry or at least experiment with (kinda terrifies me tho because that means XH is the guinea pig here). They’ve had Day6 for a while, but they’ve never gotten too heavy music wise even after releasing music for as long as they have. XH, on the other hand, has been around only since 2021, yet have already been leaping around and experimenting with all sorts of rock and now even metal. We all know the agencies and idol companies have a lot of input on their groups and bands, so they definitely had to of let them start experimenting and worked with them. Another huge factor here is the music scene in South Korea. It’s dominated by pop and rock isn’t as popular. Largely due to the global appeal and effect of kpop. They have a system and it works, and because that system works, other genres have been neglected. After reading some articles, it seems that even Metal had been treated as a niche sub-genre among other less popular genres. Basically, I think JYP wants to see how well rock can do. If it’s well received, I think we will be seeing a lot more fun rock/metal music from them.
@@hannahishome My well written comment disappeared. I think I might’ve accidentally deleted it 💀 Either way it was a lot of yapping and reading I don’t think you’d have wanted to do. Long story short, basically I think JYP wants to tap into the rock industry and are using XH to test the waters and that’s why their music has been so experimental with rock/metal. I have faith in our boys though. They’re definitely going to do it and leave that label of “kpop group” behind. One of these days, they’re just going to be referred to as a damn good band and they’re going to play crazy rock music fests.
@@tazthecat5258 Don't worry, it's still there and I've read it till the end hahaha. I think you might be right about JYP tapping into this genre. Hopefully, the locals recognise and appreciate their skills and talent. I really want to see them live but my country tends to get skipped most of the time. 🥲
Herojoo-nim if you read this, I love you so fucking much. I got into Xdinary Heroes because I accidentally watched your Jooyeon fancam, and now I am deeply in love with Xdinary Heroes especially Lee Jooyeon 😭❤️
