Quasiment tous les français de plus 50 ans, et d'autres plus jeunes, connaissent le générique de fin d'Antenne 2 avec les animations de Folon, mais quasiment aucun d'entre eux ne sait que la musique a été composé par Michel Colombier en hommage à son enfant décédé (Emmanuel). Dans leur immense majorité, mes compatriotes sont des ignorants dotés d'un QI de bulot ... ce qui explique la situation catastrophique de notre pays aujourd'hui.
My father bought this in 1979 when I was a small child. I don't think he knew what he was getting but it really spooked me out and I begged him not to play it. My 7 year old self obviously didn't know what avant garde was then. In 1986 my father's copy was stolen, but in 2010 I bought an original copy and tried to remember why it spooked me out as a child. It wasn't so spooky as an adult. But these guys sure cooked up a noisy racket here. Also it looked like the copy I bought was the same one my father owned because it had scuffs on the edge that looked like a bird chewed on it. Our family did get ourselves a cockatiel in 1980 and it did chew on the album cover. If the copy I bought in 2010 (and still own to this day) is the same one my father owned and then got stolen, that is one big coincidence. Unfortunately my father passed away in 2014 so I couldn't tell him this copy I have looked like it was his.
I bought this straight from the record store Without hearing it and when I got home and heard it, I was glad I bought it. That was in the 1960s, when you could listen to an album before buying it. The store clerk would play it for you. This was a great album to hear while high!
This is her most accessible album. Yet it is impossible to buy it anywhere. No copies seem to exist or they aren't for sale. No streaming service offers this one either. Well, other than RU-vid. Thanks for preserving this album!

Back to comment again after a year. The classic tune John Coltrane was written by bassist Bill Lee, father of Spike Lee. For me, it belongs up there with Naima, Goodbye Pork Pie Hat and The Peacocks as lasting classics.
