Does anyone know which interview it is where Josh was panicking about mike joking about them hating eachother? There’s so many interviews I can’t seem to find it lol
lol no, everybody noticed that in mainstream movies apart from few exceptions like poor things in order to make everything family friendly and to earn money they delete sex scenes completely
I will never understand this stupid puritan mentality. Movies are human expression. Sexuality is one of (if not the) most important things that drives humanity and our emotions, desires and psychology. Excluding it from films makes no sense.
@@freem8son86Absolutely agree! Although what I find to be more portrayed in certain recent films is just sex, not sexuality and desire. It’s a more psychological (maybe spiritual if you want) act as opposed to something purely physical, as sex is portrayed as in some cases. Perhaps that’s part of the point the original commenter also wanted to get at, or at least my view on it
It was great to hear from the screenwriter, producer and director as well as the cast. This was a deeper dive into the making of the film than is available elsewhere online. Great Q&A - thank you.

Thank you for a wonderful interview. I live in Yokohama, Japan ( I am Japanese) and I went to see "Hirayama-san" 3 times in 2 weeks! For me, it is a therapeutic film. I think I would go to see it occasionally as long as it is playing in the theater. If I may add, the name "Hirayama" is written 平山 in kanji (Chinese characters) and 平=in this case is read “hira” generally means "flat," "level," or "even" in English. It can also convey the idea of "peace" or "calmness" in certain contexts. The “hei” in Shohei Ohtani uses this character. “山“means mountain.” I understand the name “Hirayama” was taken from the main character of Yasujiro Ozu’s film “Tokyo Story” which is one of Mr. Wenders' favorite films.
I left this movie in absolutely rapture. I was trying to prempt how it might close and that final shot is genius, capturing how the zen masters said we should live, in a highly tuned state of vulnerability, perched between the joy and sadness of existence.
