Thanks for this Dee.I am going to make this. Would you please tell me where you got the attachment on your machine.I have a brother machine and would love to have one. Thanks again!!
Hello, I used a regular foot on my my Juki machine, however with any brand of machine you can use a "walking foot" which helps so much in thicker items to sew. Happy Sewing!
@lindat8274 Hello, the towel I used in the video is purchased from Walmart. They come in a 4 pack, two solid and two with stripes. Happy Sewing and thanks for watching!
So you did the cotton batting to the backing piece and the Encil bright you stitched to the top piece of fabric? And exactly where are the darts? I see two corners and then it looks like they’re along the sides? Is that a total of four or six darts?
This is just beautiful, Dee !! It made me very emotional watching the video. I'm so excited and anxious to make this lovely block. Thank you so very much for this wonderful make and tutorial. God bless you, Hun. 🙏🏻♥️🙏🏻
@teresahixson8716 You made my evening! I am currently editing a flag quilt block that measures 12 1/2" x 12 1/2" unfinished, I will be me making throw pillows from my samples. I truly do appreicate our vets and never can honor them enough. Thanks again for your kind words and watching my tutorials :)
@deescraftingcorner You're so sweet, Dee. I saw the little sneak peek of the flag and I can't wait to see the tutorial on it. 🥰 It's so comforting to know that other people appreciate and celebrate not only our veterans but those serving right now as well. It does feel as though they've been forgotten so much of the time. Anyway, that's my soap box. Hahaha Again, thank you for these wonderful tutorials I just love them. I'm a newbie and so many times the content creators assume we know much more than we do. Your's are very easy to follow and I appreciate it. 🌺 Have a wonderful evening and I'll see you on the next video. 😃
@teresahixson8716 Thanks so much, I Love your "Soap Box" :) and totally understand that feeling. With my tutorials I try my best to do step by step as if the person sewing is sitting in my chair. I've been sewing over 50 years an I hope I can provide help and share my love of sewing :) Thanks again for watching and commenting on my videos means the world to me.
Perfect timing, Dee ! I've been looking for some patriotic makes that I could do for my son who is a disabled Operation Iraqi Freedom vet. This will be just wonderful. Thank you, Dee. 🌹
@teresahixson8716 First, I would like to thank your Son for serving our Nation and I am so happy this block can help in your design needs. Thanks for watching and Happy Sewing!
What an awesome video! Love the way you simply walk us through each step❤️Definitely going to be making many of these for gifts! Hugs from Fl 😘🥰🌴🦩Donna
Hola, explicas super bien!!! Sólo una pregunta, hice varios cuadros y al unirlos se pierden las puntas de la estrella 😢, dónde puedo estar fallando ya que fui muy cuidadosa con las medidas. Graciassss
@angelavelez6721 Hello and thank you for watching, without seeing your blocks here are some helpful tips. (I will number them to try and make the tips separate) 1.When sewing, use a “Scant” quarter of an inch seam allowance, which is slightly narrower than a ¼” seam allowance. 2. Press your seams after you sew a half square triangle by having your block flat, then iron your seam open instead to oneside 3.Match your seams together and pin and when pinning pin in a diagonal to help lock in the seam where you're going to sew.But DO remove pin at the machine prior to sewing over the pin. Do NOT sew over pins. Hope this helps and please let me know how your block turns out, and Happy Sewing!!
I enjoyed your video. I’m new to your channel and started by watching your kitchen towel videos. I learned about how the gathering foot works. I also learned how you pin before and after the button hole and then using a seam ripper to cut. Always learning! Thank you!
@tessahouse9960 Thank you so much, I truly appreciate you watching my videos. If there is a sewing topic you may find helpful please let me know, If I can I love to help. Happy Sewing!
I've just started watching; just have to let you know at once how lovely your voice is. So calm, quiet and inviting. No hysterical hype, which is exhausting. Back to the tutorial.
@OHlookSHINYthing That was adorable fabric, I got it from a quilt shop years ago, I do not remember the fabric line but the line was from QT fabrics, You may have luck finding some on ebay or etsy since it is a older line. Happy Sewing!
