@@clairethemusician968 No Problem. There is also a song he played as an intro to the interview. This is also on my page uploaded at much the same time. Just scroll to the bottom of my videos.
She talks about him having the "Aussie" sense of humour. As good as that may be, Colin has more of the typical Scottish sense of humour, I think. Whatever, he's a very funny and talented guy.
Assisti esse filme com dezesseis anos com meu namorado. No final estava em prantos. Soluçando. Tão sensível.. Profundo. Com 14 anos colecionava todos os seus Lps
Thank you. Very nice work and progression through the tune. Also sounds great! Listen, I and others who came to you here to see/hear someone play this accurately and in a way we can follow, I would suggest a more closeup-oriented view of what your left hand is doing. Granted what you are doing with your right is part of the tune as well. However, from this camera angle, sometimes I'm not certain where your fingers are on the fretboard. I'll figure it out. Speaking of your left hand, looks like you were in a scrape of some kind. Hope all is well. Thanks again for this. It's a nice tune. Well done.
Thanks for watching. This was posted 12 years ago and I don't do these videos anymore. It was my very early days of video posting and yes, I think I had a healing cut on my hand.
@@dugsbugs1 Ha! 12 years ago! Well, I assume those minor scrapes have healed. Hope all is well. Your video helped me figure out how to play the tune. Thanks!
Like a lot of artists from that era, they run out of songs. Everyone wants to hear the old classics. The new material just doesn't do it. That's for the new talent. These guys are all in their 70s now.
@@dugsbugs1 yeah, but if they still "have it", they should promote the newer stuff. A lot of older bands have been releasing newer stuff, but if you remember, the tours were to promote the new music to promote sales. Latest Kansas and foreigner albums rock...
Seems to happen to a lot of the Scottish imports. They learn to speak aussie as a kid to stop being beaten up at school then it filters back as adults.
Dug: You nailed it ! Awesome Sir !! Could you tell me the type of strings you are using here and if you think it matters or is it all about the type of Guitar. Im thinking the string type is as important. Thank You ;)
It was a few years back now but both would have been Martin 11-52 Custom light MA535FX on the 6 and 10-54 extra light MA500FX on the 12 I have always used Martin because they sound nice and bright. Strings are a personal thing and everyone has different ideas. It's trial and error but you will settle on one eventually.
Always been a favorite of my misspent wayward youth, this song is just timeless perfection. Also the young kid playing lead has a lot of skill and a nice tone.Way to go boys!!
