I love her. I am trying to buy all of her CDs. I have two so far. The jacket on one of them is signed by her. I saw Wash My Soul in The River’s Flow on a plane over Australia recently and that is how I discovered them. She and he shine so bright. I fell in love. They truly are Australia’s National Treasures. Wishing I could hear her on U.S. radio. 150% class act.
What a gorgeous tribute to a gorgeous woman! Wish my grandparents lived long enough to have met my Nan, and hopefully one day soon the Gap will finally close!!!
I have the fondest memories watching ruby and archie throughout my childhood with my grandmother who knew and loved archie and ruby very much. Beautiful tribute to ruby. Always in our hearts. Looking forward to seeing archie once all this covid madness has eased. Stay deadly.
Can somebody please repost Ruby Hunter with Paul Hester - aint no time for me to ever complain - live on Hessie's Shed - it is a crime it is no longer available on you tube or anywhere else.
Sorry I'm not in my account butHi its Bobby-Jo from Nisbet st, maybe don't remember my black assets lol. Stay deadly awesome brother. Your still in my dreaming Ruby Baby.
such a talented, beautiful woman. i never met her but everyone i know who did talked about how kind and open and humble she was. maybe it doesn't sound impressive but for a woman so beaten down by racism, addiction, violence, poverty, and struggle, it's so impressive that she was so generous and loving to everyone. her songs and her stories are a wonderful legacy for a spirited, kind and much-loved ngarrindjeri woman.
oh man if Australia was as "fair dinkum" as it likes to think it is Ruby would be a national treasure...she's a treasure in my heard this tribute does her proud..thank you!
such a beautiful tribute, your Nan that beautiful lady, is proud of you. Our lives are all sadder for her passing, but her beauty and her music are her gifts to us to remember. Be in peace.
First time I saw Ruby and Archie, was at the Adelaide Festival Theatre 1992 , where they were back-up for Tracy Chapman. I liked Tracy, and that is who I paid my money to see. Had no idea who the back-up act would be. After the show, and still to this day, my fondest memories of that night are of Ruby and Archie.
What a beautiful song and what a tribute not only to his wife, but to Archie's strength in being able to come back after such a tragic loss. Their love was so long and strong.
