We have an all pro at safety in green bay. Last year we had a 7th round pick rookie who was a converted nickel out of iowa state, jonathon owens, darnell savage who only got 50 tackles the entire season, and was perpetually unavailable. Jaire missed 10 freakin games!! No wonder our defense sucked. Vallentine, and Ballentine were not forecasted for 1000 snaps.
If Hutchinson was so great how was tucker Kraft a TE able to block him..if not own the guy? How was Watson able to absolutely blow the doors off the Lions secondary? How was Rashan Gary able to stop Jared Goff virtually by himself!!?? Lions have talent at non essential positions. Green Bay has other wordly talent at premium positons. Corner, Edge, Tackle(walker,tom great pass block win rate) QB.
The guys dominating all have quarterbacks regardless if it’s offensive or defensive coaches. Getting to the playoffs with scrubs like Pickett and Rudolph is great coaching. Winning 7 games with Zach Wilson is great coaching. You need to call a spade a spade John.
Did u see Bills reaction to the Maye draft pick? It wasnt good..he had no patience for his lack of footwork and disregarded mayes own comps of his own athleticism to Josh Allen. Bill has gotten out of touch with this generation of players...Great coach..great football mind. But his lack of buy in on traits based scouting, and continual propensity for older players dismantled the patriots.
Lions fan since 1967. This season our pass def will be better than it was last season. However, my biggest concern this year is, does our DC have the ability to get the most out of new defensive personnel? I only asked that question because last year our defensive backfield did lack talent, but I thought Aaron Glenn could’ve done more to scheme around those deficiencies.
You cant scheme around bad dbs..sorry. What are you gonna do position them on the goal line? Have 3 safeties deep? Maybe josh dobbs or Justin fields..can be schemed out..not a premo qb..with legit processing, arm talent and footwork.

Packers not winning the division people only talk about the packers improvement but the lions only had one major issue last year and that was pass coverage we are way better there now we got a lot better after winning 12 games
The nfl kickoff rule has issues. I think they should kickoff at the 30 yard line. I don't think they should move the kickoff team back to the 25 yard line. But they've been kicking off at the 35 yard line. That allowed more automatic touchbacks. The question is is where the players on the return team can be? I think they should be at least 10 yards off the ball and allowed to have their own return formations. I think the kickoff team should get a 10 yard running head start like they used to do it. Why? Because it looks better it looks like it's the right way. For some reason I do like the new touchback rules to the new rule change. But do they make 5 and 7 man wedges illegal and just allow 3 man flying wedges? One rule I don't like is no onside kicks until the 4th quarter. What about only in the 2nd and 4th quarters? So the team kicking off the halfs in the 1st and 3rd quarters cannot do an onside kick? It has to be a kickoff because of the coin toss. What about just having a 30 yard touchback rule on kick offs if the ball is kicked out the back of the end zone or it rolls through the end zone or out the end zone? If the ball is downed by the return team in the end zone it's a 20 yard touchback. (Touchbacks on punts are 20 yards no matter what).
Packers>lions. Everybody forgot about Thanksgiving already. Hasn't even been a year. Lions were overmatched and the packers were the youngest team in the nfl, they've upgraded rb, and changed their defensive scheme. People are gonna wake up fast when they see the pack moving 2x faster than their opponent. Can't wait
The packers won by 7 on thanksgiving after we just played our third game in 10 days. On a regular week we crushed them by 2 scores and the game was over at half yall love not talking about that game
I went through the exact same issue with my dog a few months ago. They gave him steroids, he looked like he was improving and then when we took him in for a check up a week later his test results were worse and we were told putting him down was the best option as anything else we did was just buying short amounts of time. I hope your situation is different than mine
Move kicker back and the defenders up. Kickoff from the 20/ 25, lineup the defenders at the opponents 40ish and cannot take off till the kick is touched. All problems solved, don't overthink it.
You're a smart guy but suggesting the NFL goes back to the old kickoff but just moving the ball back is idiotic. The NFL doesn't want traditional kickoff physicality. That's the whole point of the rule change
the point was if people just concede to having the ball at the 30 instead of actually participating in the new rule. i like the new one a lot more but if the extra 5 yards ain’t enough to deter people then yea it has to change to something else
Well the main two concerns are player safety and the kickoff being a dead play. Maybe instead of going back to the old style and moving back, why not just move the kicker by himself back and leave everyone else 5 yards apart? Or am i dumb as well for suggesting this?

There are at least 33 of the 53 that are essential starters and will see a lot of time on the field, that leaves 20 spots with 8-10 to draft picks mostly in the last 2 years with little field time. There are not a lot of spots for those not on the field a lot and you can do what you want with those picks and your special teams may suffer if you are seeing potential starter projects all over the place. A potential starter project WR who averages under 20 targets over 3 years is hurting your roster and probably your passing game.
I would be embarrassed to hype up a $20 discount on tickets. At least make it worthwhile like $100 off. It's $2,000+ for two nfl tickets, $20 is meaningless
