I am amazed how incredibly close this cover to the original performance by the Besides is . I know only one person, with Italian surname- Galleazo Frudua, who in his reconstruction of the Beatles harmonies sings himself like Paul and John.. Your version is excellent ❤
Had one… l bought it in about 1964. I wish I still had it. The Country Gentleman pad on the back also covers access to the wiring. Hilton Valentine in the Animals also had one.
Seems like every album George was sporting a new guitar or two. I first saw the Tennessean watching Help in a movie theater as a kid. I remember the close up view of the neck as he played barre chords. Fun fact - I stood alone very close to his Jet(behind glass) at the Grammy museum in LA a few years ago.
20 years ago I bought one on a deal from musician friend. I’ve really never used it. It’s going to be a collectors piece that one of my daughters will likely end up with Consequently- I just learned it has a kill switch. Groovy baby
I'm pretty sure that John would think everybody was nuts for getting so carried away with moding their 325s to look EXACTLY like his. Cross slot, Phillips head, Selmer's or American made, head stock shape, they're going bloody batty!
Paul's Hofner is not stock. It has been heavily modified and is a lot heavier than stock. It was sent to Staten Island to luthiers many years ago for restoration work. I forget the name of the luthier. EDIT: Mandolin Bros.
I had a ‘63 Tennessean and it didn’t have white around the F holes and only said Gretsch on the pickguard. The tuners were not very good. Not much top end .
I'm hopeful that paul has a chace to have the bass worked on and he plays it live somewhere live they didn't exactly keep top ecurity on these things yet in 72 i suppose it wasn't seen as and icon at that time musician have a way of making iconic songs on instruments then give them to friends.
Very interesting story. The only thing that surprises me is that in December of 65 they were the most famous and presumably the richest band in the world. Why strap their guitars on the roof of a car when they could have bought a tour bus.
Fuck Me Nick ! I've been looking for something like this all my life. Brilliant... I'm on my 3rd video now of yours. Subscribed, liked, and that bell Rung ! Keep it up !
I t doesn't surprise me -based on the Japan Beatles concert video, the Casino sounded terrible on Day Tripper, and thus SG (with its Humbuckers) was a far better guitar for that riff.
