My sales have been a b y s m a l. I have been feeling pretty discouraged. Even though I'm well aware this happens every summer, I do feel like this year is particularly rough.

It has been slow. During these slow months I shop selectively. Also, I use the slow months to tackle my death pile. Which helps me continue to post without spending to much money. The good times will roll again!

Your classroom looks AMAZING! It looks like you thought of everything! The lockers in the classroom are fire! Those will cut down on a lot of hallway issues! Setting up a classroom is exhausting. I am so glad you had your dad's help! I hope you can relax a little before school starts. When I saw your "cool down/recovery " spot that made me wonder if you have ever used the Zones of Regulation by Leah Kuypers? It is an awesome curriculum for teaching emotional regulation and increasing problem solving abilities. Not that you need another thing on your plate, but if the system the school has in place isn't meeting the needs of all your learners, it might be something to consider. Thanks for sharing!
First of all, the dresses you thrifted are cute along with the dress you are wearing! You did a great job in your classroom! I, too, was very organized in my classroom. I think the kids really need that! Oh, boy, I remember the hard work of setting up the classroom after summer. It's so much work! Your 1st graders are lucky to have you as a teacher! My first year teaching was 1st grade. After teaching kindergarten, you'll enjoy the transition! Take your vitamins and get your rest for that exhausting first week of school! 😊

But switched to sales because I’m so much better at it lol. Question, when you ship items do you use your own mailers or the usps mailers one inside the other? Or can you just put the shipping label straight on to your own mailer? I want to buy cute mailers instead of the usps ones.
I’m glad you found a job that you enjoy! When shipping on Poshmark, I use the usps mailers. When shipping on eBay, I use my own mailers. You can use your own mailers on Poshmark too if you want; I just use the free usps ones to save money. You can just put your label straight on your own mailer and sent it that way. Your gorgeous black Free People dress sold for so little! And I just had carcinoma surgery on my nose. The dr said it's from my childhood prior to sunscreen. I live in Florida on the Gulf Coast, and I prefer our pool over the ocean. Continue to take care of your beautiful skin. I wear hats and always wear sunscreen. Geesh... And I had a very organized classroom. It just makes things so much easier!
An organized classroom definitely does make everything easy for teacher and students! My mom had Mohs surgery on her face a few years ago, so I am definitely very cognizant of the importance of sunscreen and skin protectants. Thank you for passing along your advice 💜💜

I thought of your advice today when I received a top that I ordered from Ebay. The seller squished it in a polymailer with a ton of tape. It was very difficult using scissors without cutting the blouse! After you said that, I always save room for cutting. Also, I didn't know about the 3 hour time with Poshmark. Thanks, Maddie! 😊😊

My #1 seller is free people but I am picky with style and cost. My #2 best selling pieces are leggings omg different brands but now when I thrift I always look through the leggings.

A couple of years ago I sold a lot of Free People and Victoria Secret. Now they both just sit! I so wish I had your knowledge of brands. One day hopefully! 😊😊
You should both yelp and Google review that place saying the “condescending” part. If enough of their regulars make a stink about it, they might revert to the .99 days. I’m in SoCal and something similar happened to a mom & pop place here an once all their recent reviews said things about how they used to be awesome their sales tanked an almost put them out of business. Now they’ve reverted and are even having to do more promotions cuz those bad reviews are still there.

That sucks. Prices at all our sourcing location in Norheast Florida have been jumping as well. I'm in the process of exploring non-traditional sources. 🤞🤞🤞

I definitely agree about feeling awkward when you have an overly eager person at the door! They are usually really nice but I have had a few check to make sure I’m finding everything ok too many times while I’m shopping and that’s my cue to leave! 😅

I love how you always talk about how shy you are. I am super shy and hate small talk, too. I can fake it sometimes, but I'm 99% sure people often think that I have a learning disability. Not that there's anything wrong with having an LD, but the more I think about it, the more awkward and stammery I get, haha 😭
I get what you’re saying; the more aware I am that I’m being awkward, the more awkward I become too. A book that made me feel really seen is Quiet by Susan Cain. It really showed me that I am not alone in my introversion and shyness. ☺️
