After the Pittsburgh Maulers folded I ended liking the Memphis s Showboats and John Defillipo as head coach. Was disappointed when John stepped down. To me, the UFL represents football at its purest.
Definitely wasn't expecting to hear Ken Whisenhunt, but I agree that it's a big hire for spring football. Bummed that it wasn't Jarren Horton. Would like to see him back in spring football.
Loved the Houston Gamblers reincarnation in the USFL, but didn't like the Houston Roughnecks after the merger. Odd maneuver that turned me off on the Houston franchise. Didn't make sense to see an XFL nickname in the USFL conference. Weird move. Michigan Panthers kept me watching the UFL.
Wish they would have kicked off after the Super Bowl . But I’m glad they will be back. The Friday night Ratings and attendance will be Horrible. I don’t know what they are thinking with that strategy at all.
Awesome! I've been waiting 24 years for the XFL to finally have an official Season Two without a change of ownership! I was hoping that they would push the season back so it started in February, but I can't complain when they have amazing broadcast partners. Hopefully they'll bring back the XFL (new NFL) kickoff too. Glad to see they are focusing on making the league work, and hopefully they can improve attendance so that in the next year or two they will be able to think about expansion.
Last time I checked (it has been a little bit so correct me if I’m wrong), but the UFL has been losing millions and he’s probably not getting paid what was promised and tried to wait it out but it wasn’t working out. Maybe that’s the problem. Idk.
I sure wish The League would start immediately after The Super Bowl. We did a poll in my UFL Group and close to 500 people voted 79% voted right after The Super Bowl 21% voted late March. I'm sorry about your Wife & your job. Things definitely seem to happen all at once. I'll say a prayer for you guys 🙏
They should be: 1. Seattle Seadragons 2. New Orleans Breakers 3. Orlando Guardians 4. Philadelphia Vultures 5. Las Vegas Gamblers 6. Atlanta Vipers 7. Tampa Bay Bandits 8. Pittsburgh Maulers
Coach Skip Holtz ABSOLUTELY LOVES the Birmingham Stallions , and we love him . He has said on a number of occasions that " this has been the most fun he's had in his career as a coach " . Without a doubt the Stallions are the class of the league. It has not been hard at all to get players to come here . I sincerely hope coach Skip return. The last 3 seasons have been truly magical here in the " MAGIC CITY " . Giddy up and Buck EM 👍 😎
I have watch every XFL, USFL and UFL game since 2020. I don't believe, Redbird, Fox nor ABC in in for the long haul. Redbird has always been a short term investor. Fox and ABC which we know are TV networks pull programs if they are not doing well because of losing advertising dollars. They are bean counters, not visionaries. Why they are saving money by having seasonal employees rather than going all in financially? While I want the league to succeed and grow, I believe that the ownership as constituted are not the visionaries that a league like the UFL needs.
