I didn't include them but Mobile, Fall To Pieces, The Best Damn Thing, And Push would all be singles overseas. With how impossible it is for rock adjacent acts to chart on the Hot 100 these days I don't think her later singles would've faired any better than they have already, But having that safety net of rock/alt is why Linkin Park stayed relevant and other acts like Matchbox Twenty, Goo Goo Dolls and Lifehouse didn't. I'm glad that Avril is finally getting the re-evaluation that she deserves but it should've happened way sooner. She'll always have the legacy that her first two albums brought but she could've done so much better. But I put that blame more on the label than Avril herself cause she clearly wanted to be a serious rock artist, And they weren't having any of it. Longterm I think she won out though, So I guess it didn't matter.
people need to calm down. this is so toxic. they are both some of the most respected pop princesses out there! they both have great values like Ariana Grande’s vocals (and some songwriting) & Taylor Swift’s songwriting! people need to calm down and stop calling Ariana a flop and Taylor a flop. this is one comparison and if you were to compare different types of charts you would see the fine line of what they both exceed at! music videos, charts, pure sales, streaming sales, album sales, song sales. Taylor does a lot of promotion on her albums and releases multiple versions of vinyls, cds, song versions. So I’m if Ariana did the same it would’ve been different for her career! none of them have ever been exposed for using illegal services to promote their music or boost it, so none of them should get hate for it. instead of calling one better, focus on how they both are amazing, beautiful, talented artists!

Folklore and evermore really got me into Taylor and I've absolutely loved everything that she's done since. I've listened to her entire discography and it's just so insanely good and diverse.

I agree, ariana music is my type and her vocals is so much powerful but I prefer Taylor, her song writing is good and almost all of her music is my type and when she write a song its like she write it from diffferent perspective with the same meaning for example "paparazzi is chasing/hunting us" but she wrote "they are the hunters, we are the foxes" (sorry for long comment LOL)
