So basically you get stuck in a traffic jam for hours if not days to watch a big wooden statue get burnt, get stuck in another traffic jam on the way out........ what am I missing ????
This was great until the annoying overbearing music drowned out rhe great video. I had to turn the volume down because it became obnoxious at the end. Ugh. ⚠️ WARNING: I apologize if i offended you, not my intention. just my opinion. Not trying to be mean just constructive criticism. That's my personal opinion. If you don't like it then i guess get butt hurt silently 😂 opinions are like buttholes everyone has one...this is mine 😳🤨🤭well one of them.😂😂😂 ✌️🥰🫶❤️🏳️
I was down there that night, when the man burned in 2013. It was my second year, my first technically solo drive out there all the way from Nebraska. And my plans didn't go according to plan, but I got adopted into another camp, and by the end of the week my situationship with someone in that camp had ended. And so I slept in that circular donut shaped net that night, you know the one, the one that's off the esplanade, at the top of a huge geo dome. I can never remember the name of the camp. But it was a safe place that night.
Hey @jmp264 we'd love to show this video during the official 2023 Burning Man Camp Symposium. Couldn't find contact information for you. The symposium is March 18. HMU!
I'm from the UK... It's now Aug 2021 we are seeing the news about the "Dixie Fire" I lived in Foresthill just off Spring Garden Road 1998 ~ 2001 I do miss Worton's Market Tortilla Chips :)
Wow! You captured the spirit of Burning Man really well man. I recently made a video of the 10 principles of Burning Man incorporating the Multiverse theme this year. You can watch it in my channel. Would love to hear your thoughts :)
In my humble opinion, Phipps' videos are the only ones that can capture the incredible experience at night on the playa. The city looks so tiny from above, but in fact it is really huge. Without ever being there, you cannot imagine the thrill when standing in the middle, watching almost 80,000 people around you partying and screaming all the night. Those city lights are fascinating and, as you can see, I am still impressed. Thanks a lot for the videos! ;-)
Hi Jason. I am an editor and I'm trying to make a VLOG for someone who went to Burning Man this year. If I credit your account and put a link to this video in their description could I use snippets of this to transition the video?
This video is amazing and gives the "non-Burner" an idea of the complexity and amazement that is Burning Man. If your team does this again, I'd like to join!
Wow, I remember watching your video from 2013 over and over leading up to my burn in 2014. I wondered if you'd also post a video from 2014 - I JUST FOUND IT! Those tri-lasers... I spent every damn night looking at each beam landing on the mountainside stretching probably 200 ft (possibly more) across the mountain per beam! The track you chose for the 2013 video set my mind for my burn. I cannot thank you enough. I cherish you, unknown friend. Thank you dearly for the memories. I'll forever wave at that mountain, just in case you're watching. <3
Jason Phipps, Dominique from the Burning Man communications team here. What's the best email to reach you at? We would love to use your video this Friday.
All there doing is burning pot fields. SEEN THE MOVE UP IN SMOKE? Just another smoke screen> to hide what there doing > FEE LEGAL HIGH! NATIONWIDE> JUST GO OUT AND INHALE he hee woopeeee Nationwide on your side :P GOOD GOOD STUFF BABY ENJOY
I was just up there last weekend and wondering when this fire happened. The area is still looking very devastated but I did see lots of baby trees growing and many animals wandering around. Thankfully Robinson Flat was spared and is still as beautiful as ever. Thanks to those that fought this horrendous fire. 🔥
Jason Phipps, Love your video! I was in Auburn for this year's festival and was planning on doing a 2017 video of the event...The GoPro I set up to do a time-lapse let me down so all I've got is what I shot with my Lumix...I'd like to ask you to borrow about 3 seconds of a piece of your timelapse, just enough to show the street...I don't feel right without asking you first..of course I'd give you credit in my video and I'd return the favor if you should ever want to borrow a piece of one of mine.
These guys ripped it without credit and replaced the soundtrack: facebook.com/iResidence/videos/589074904597671/ Care to complain? I can't since it's not "my intellectual property".
2013 was my first burn. I found this video right away thank God, cause it brings me right back and at first I was trying to track where I was throughout it (roughly). It really does somewhere lock into the feeling. I've watched this and shared it SO MANY TIMES! <3
