damn she looked good from end of blondie 1982 to this video 1989 = 42 but it was a long ride to Jimmy putting together Maria 1997 - but she had a facelift at 50
Why they always reminded me of.. Gem.. If they came to life, 😅.. I bet that Gia one, got around, other two look sweet an innocent.. Gia.. Not so much.. But in a good way, she looked like she was alot of fun in her hay day🎉🎉✌🏾😩💯🌹👑💋
Even regular roller derby (the T-Birds were a legit roller derby team for decades) always had a little "sports entertainment" aspect in it. RollerGames just went there and made it full-on World Wrestling Federation on roller skates. In fact, the WWF wouldn't get this over the top for at least 8 more years during the Attitude Era. I still enjoyed this as a pre-teen. This used to come on before American Gladiators where I lived on Saturday evenings. There was another show similar to this around that same time. I think it was called Knights and Warriors. The 1990s was known for it's cheesy entertainment, but I would take it all day long over the repulsive and creatively bereft garbage on TV today. It may have been cheesy and low-brow, but at least this stuff was creative and entertaining.
I trained with the t birds! Broke my hand in practice up in Sylmar and quit before the first TV show taping. They wouldn't pay my ER bill. They were paying the veteran skaters much higher than the newbies. The weeded thru the people that didn't have any nerve. Training was brutal. Long wind sprints around the oval track in line with the other skaters. I destroyed a new pair of Riddell speed skates in a few months. It was an honor to be coached by Ralphie Vallardares. We trained on the original oval track with boards. The screws used to come up from all the pressure. You were screwed if you slid across one. After watching the TV show it would have been fun, although one dude I skated with split his forehead open during one of the games. I was lucky to get out with a broken hand. Much like WWF, if you wanted to go over the rail, you could, but you'd pay the price soon as you hit the concrete floor. I played guitar on one of the rollergame songs. www.toonsthatrock.com

Beating people up while skating in RollerGames, huh? Maybe they should bring RollerGames back because it really rocks. My favorite team is the T-Birds.
Lita is a legend, but she seems out of place up untill she picks that gituar up , then she comes really alive , i watch her in the Runaways she drove that band , i can see the producer in the late 1970s yelling at Lita " stop headbanging " so funny ! Love you Lita to this day 2024 , fuck joan jett she was the 2 nd gituar player in the Runaways and we all know !
great memories and like Aldo Nova, sometimes studio is superior to live but the moment is part of the magic. Many bands during this period did this type of video, hence came MTV and the rest is music history, rv
