Always with the insecticides. If you're going to use anything, use spinosad. We cant keep destroying our soil biology and not expect to see a negative ripple effect in the ecosystem. How low does the bird and insect populations have to get before we learn?
Common Milk weed ...I had started a section of these inn my yard and it spread in a lovely way over about 6 + y4ears,,,then what !! they have gone away !! what could happen? No change in sun no chemicals etc. I am in the Northeast. ??I am heartbroken.
Glad I found this one. I just planted 5 new peach trees that are around 26" tall. Of those 4 are whips. FULL of leaves so I was wondering when and where I shoud start to look to prune them. One already has the side branches so I just need to cut the center. Sounds like I need to cut the whips a little tall and then come back and adjust the prune next year in dormancy.
Hello I have gotten goats recently and would like to be more knowledgeable on hoof trimming. would anyone experienced in the comments have any suggestions on what tools to get or what brands that work really well for doing it? It would help a lot!
The problem is they don’t flower when they get so huge. My mom has like 10 huge azalea bushes along her driveway that have never been pruned. Thank you for this video, I’ll be starting right now in late February.
You failed to mention the huge mess they leave after a windstorm and the HUGE PITA they are to rake up and dispose of. They should have never have been exported from Japan.
That is so cool. So now i need to find 3 grafted trees? Besides chain stores, where can i find quality grafted, ready to plant trees is South Carolina?
I bought two of these years ago when they first came out in my area, they were dirt cheap at the time, and the tag on them said they would reach 20 feet tall ....now I find out that they can reach much taller heights that I didn't expect. So when I buy a plant should I believe what they say on the tag?
I notice plant tags have inaccurate information from time to time. I’d definitely research from different sources to verify sizes before buying and planting. This tree will get much bigger than that, like 30-40’ tall, 15’ wide.
Oddly not very specific. No discussion about basel dominance vs apical. I know that some azalea are basely dominant, are all of them? How does pruning differ?
This season I had about 3 fork branches break due to fruit weight. Can I cut those down? If so, would I cut at the breaking point or down towards the base?
