Minecraft was always a solo experience for me. When I got my new computer & got Minecraft 1.19.2, I found that there was more to this game than just resource collecting, it's a self-reflective experience all in it's own. When you start to realize all of the buildings you've made are parts of your inner desires for friendship, love, peace, Minecraft becomes a tool for self-discovery. The story I've made for myself in that game reminded me of my own self worth & compassion. You can just as easily craft your own story in waking life just like in Minecraft, you are the author of your own legend.
The fact that people are willing to throw hate towards some of the greatest VGM composers and producers of more recent years because it "doesnt sound like c418" reaaaaally pisses me off. C418 is amazing, but so are Lena Raine, Kumi Tanioka, etc. Games like Celeste and the Nier series (which both have osts that I and many other people absolutely adore) wouldnt be the same without them, and the fact that they're able to make music for one of, if not the biggest game ever, is amazing. If you want more c418 music just go listen to c418 ffs his music isnt exclusive to Minecraft. And if youre angry about his music not being in minecraft, then at least throw your hate towards Microsoft instead of people who had no input in that decision whatsoever.
Lena might not be C418, but her music has soul just like C418s. I don’t think anybody else deserves the mantle of Minecraft’s new composer (is that the right word?). To think that in 10 years, kids will look back just as we did and get nostalgic about her music. History repeats itself, sometimes in beautiful ways.
Took the source code for classic.minecraft.net, swapped the assets with the ones from the TFC mod, & hosted the browser game locally. Thinking about hosting it publicly on my own website, so people can play around with it. Not sure...
Sorry I could've been more clear. If you go to classic.minecraft.net. You can play "Minecraft Classic". I took the code for that, & replaced the Minecraft textures with ones from TerraFirmaCraft, which you can get by opening the mod file using 7zip. (So it's just a re-textured version of Minecraft Classic. Not a real version of TFC.) I might host this "TFC Classic" on my website some time, so people can play it like they can on classic.minecraft.net. When I have the time to do that.
I can answer that! Menoch didn't release the soundtrack on Spotify as a personal choice. The OST was licenced for usage in TerraFirmaCraft specifically, & they just felt it best to not upload it anywhere else. That said, Menoch seems fine with it being here on RU-vid. Spotify also doesn't pay well, & can be expensive to put music on.
