Here is the thing which shows what Edwards is all about , before Edwards left lfc he created a list of 3 midfielders which he thought will take lfc to the next level , the three players were Tchoiumeni , Bellingham And gravenbech, people might see Edwards only as a data guy but people underestimate Edwards eye for talent
Laurence...I have watched him Play...AND watched his Highlights. He is playing RIGHT NOW with SUPREME CONFIDENCE and SKILL. Most midfields CANNOT TOUCH HIM. He GLIDES through the midfield and past opposition players. It is BEAUTIFUL FOOTBALL to watch. I remember when he first came he looked so timid and UNSURE...mistimed passes...over dribbling. I don't know what Slot DID or SAID...but IT IS WORKING for him. LONG may it continue. He is C.L.A.S.S. Gone are the days of Xabi and Mascherano. Those are the levels he is reaching.
Oh really? Could you please elaborate on how? Would be interesting to know. Though, if he doesn't have good chemistry with the people around him, or the tactics doesn't suit him, that might be a big reason why.
I was absolutely in love with this signing last year. But he arrived late and the squad was in a pressurized environment at the top of the table winning games late. I think it created this perceived jeopardy where Klopp couldn't afford experimenting with an unknown quantity like Ryan. I was still disappointed that he wasn't able to establish himself in the first team. He clearly was lacking confidence, and was too passive. It is all the more starkly contrasted now seeing what he is capable of when he is playing confidently. My only knock is if an action doesn't come off or he loses possession, he has a little habit of throwing up his arms in frustration.... frustration with himself of course but in those critical few seconds where he is having a moment with himself the ball is often coming back the other way and he's losing a half step. That might be a relic of Bayern as well... If small mistakes were punished with time on the bench. Either way, it's a small thing compared to what he's given the team. Very happy for him.
@@ngutjiwamishaelkamundu6835 That would be an insane midfield. Really waiting to see that midfield. Also look at the back ups: Dom, Jones, Harvey, New no.6 and young prospects like Nyoni and Macconel.
Managers are moving back towards having technical players in the 6, for a good period of time having a destroyer was trendy but now it’s like managers have decided that the offensive output is more important than the defensive cover, especially teams with already strong defences a destroyer isn’t essential. I still think endo is safer defensively but the way gravenberch beats the press and makes passes and runs it’s worth playing him even if there’s a slight risk defensively
Alice from Ecila-Football discovered him about 5 years ago and wanted him to United already then. The amount of players she identified early and United either sold or bypassed is insane. It's almost like "dark arts" 👀
@@LeperMessiah2 That is great. But Gravenberch was one of Ajax biggest talents ever. A club with a history of amazing players and one of the best youth academies in the world. Gravenberch is youngest debutant ahead of Clarence Seedorf, and young players of the year age 18 and talent of the year in the Eredivisie age 18/19. So he was always considered a huge talent from the get go if you follow a little bit of football outside of the premier league. It is not that he played in the 4th division in Greece five years ago.
Dont forget we have young Ty and for next season Stefan back from RB where he's under Klopps backroom staff and playing regularly and champs league as well
Yeh our football is less charging now and Slot wants all the players to be better on holding the ball. We definitely need to add to the midfield. The problem we had in the last couple of seasons with Klopp was, he had no plan b and teams understood how to shut his style of play down
Can you please help me as a friend brother family anything. Just an easy podcast talking about what we actually love. The reds. Lets talk about the mighty reds. Please.
It would be very helpful if you could do this without any payment. But if i have to i will as much as i can. A fan asking a fan for help is a fan. Or else it is Manchester united.
@@utsavkafle7012I second the wut? Just the fact you ask this in a comment field tells everyone how little clue you have about these kind of things. Take a class in somed or multimedia and you'll see why.
Also, as a friend, brother or family??? Just thinking that shows you are trying to get for free by trying somehow to play the bad conscience game. Shame on you
@@LeperMessiah2 i never meant what you said. But if you think so i am ok shame on me. Is there a better way to approach please let me know. I am very serious about what i am saying. You are a great human being, share to me how is it done. Please dont be angry and i am sorry if my comment offended you one way or the other.
The club know far more than the fans or those to the point the click baiting owner hating channels that are more about getting clicks and causing trouble than looking at the club and analyzing what we are about as a club
I don't blame Trent for wanting to play with Bellingham and Mbappe at Real Madrid, it's a players dream, fair play, and the weather here is shit....I'd rather play in Spain all day long....the Prem is serious hard work, imagine getting paid more for doing less and getting a shit load of sunshine, and learning a new language and culture, all over it baby....and most football fans are prawn coctail munchers who know nothing about football and care even less about anything....it's too expensive for the real fans these days, most of the regular match going fans are just colorful place holders, like every other fake pile of vain glorious wank in our elitist bullshit reality....
“Not fantastic”… We just “sustained a blow” last summer Lawrence. Zero reinforcements, profits made. Trent wants to WIN & his owners have FAILED him & his squad MULTIPLE times. LFC have more than enough to cover all 3 in wages. Not only are we safe in PSR but the lack of squad investment means THE MONEY IS THERE, it HAS BEEN there. FSG have allowed this to happen. The timing is unacceptable & negligent. When will they be held accountable for their lack of interests & ambition? Media is copable as is fanbase for NOT speaking out vs FSG. There is ONLY 1 thing holding the club back at this point…Ambition. FSG provided structure, they are great businessmen but they should’ve sold years ago. Guys…we aren’t Brighton (respectfully). Being sustainable can’t be THE primary goal at LFC. YOU DONT GET A 🏆 FOR SUSTAINABILITY. It’s time to wake up & demand more. FSG & LFC have diverging agendas as the club has outgrown their business model /philosophy. *** Arne Slot: “bc this is Liverpool.” ( most successful club in 🏴, when will we act like it? ) ***
Imo if anything slot has improved trent defensively he is running back unlike before and his positioning has massively improved. Any 1 can get done on a 1 on 1. But to leave LFC on a free thats what will taint his legacy its like the dirtiest thing you can do to your supposedly supported club
And Laurence not calling out FSG on all their bullshit. He said we were gonna have to suffer a blow like we didn’t just go through another summer with zero reinforcements. Lol ffs
If you don’t like TAA then u’ve no right to hate him either…! If LFC have problem to keep him happy then the club have no right to stop him either…! We all LFC fans need to understand the facts…Trent is not that stupid..,he knows what he’s doing for the best for everyone!!
Trent is that clueless child who has to go. He really needs to go!! That's the only way he will see Liverpool in its grandest form. He needs to see how everybody else sees Liverpool-including even Real Madrid fans. We will find out at Anfield very soon. We shall whip that insolent money train called Real Madrid and then ask Trent to pack and leave.
All this talk of the contracts is getting so old, like fans feel like he's going to leave, how does anyone know anything? It's the media playing everything up about Real Madrid wanting him and creating this, because that's what they do, every player that plays today and will play in the future is going to Real Madrid. Maybe he will, but I really haven't heard anything from him to suggest that, it's all BS from the media. There's a Liverpool channel run by a British guy who lives in Spain, and he says there is really no talk there of this. Maybe Trent will go there, but from what I can see as of right now all this is just BS being spun by the media.
There isn't a issue the club is very mean. They rather cut the wage bill letting them all leave for free is a loss paying another extreme wages (5-6 Mil taking the wage bill down to to 60-120K 2Million annual wage bill. There is enough for them annually. But they only up to salas vvd Alison's & now they wont do it again. All those goni Mane players wanted more money after winning the CL Epl. The club thought about its self. Backfired.good. If they cut that In Jan25. They will buy the striker in germany to replace salah, like they did with Diaz for mane, tiago for Gini, & Gakpo for Fiemino, all will state they wasn't approached for a extension because they raised Salah wages instead. Depending on injuries for fittness if the club cant kick out Gomezout by Jan25 or the-summer? The inacio will come in or ait nori signing them all on a newly promoted club wage bill 35 45 K a week. They will take that risk as long as they get top for FSG 1st will ripp it up start again rather hold on the expirence leaders. Remember the club hot eorse after Mane Hini Firmino left the dry mid burnt out like klop did😮😮😮😮
Can’t abuse the player. This is completely FSGs fault. I dare you to argue that fact. Who the hell allows Trent to get down to his final year of his contract? He should’ve been resigned to multi year contract right as he was named vice captain that was before Klopp even thought about retiring. That was last summer. It’s ridiculous that we’re having this conversation.
If he stays at Liverpool, he will be remembered as a local hero. And he is not at a club that does not have the capacity to win the biggest trophies right now. If he goes to Madrid, he will be another "English star" for Real Madrid. Honestly, I am tired of this saga. And with all due respect, replacing Van Dijk is a much more difficult task for the club, no matter how unicorn Trent is. I would like to see Van Dijk's contract resolved more quickly.
Spanish football is an expression of Spanish culture at large: Leisurely. I look at a team like Wolves, and wonder: Are there any middling teams in La Liga with a midfield that aggressive? This explains why Trent may succeed as a central midfielder in La Liga, especially in those low stakes games where a Madrid victory is seen as a foregone conclusion. No guarantees in the Prem. Not with hungry players like Ryan Yates, Joao Gomes, Mario Lemina, Abdoulaye Doucoure, etc floating around at sub-par squads.
Personally I'm tired of hearing about the three contracts. What happens happens .. let's enjoy what we have now and look forward to seeing who we get to replace the ones that go.
Couldn't have picked a worse time for an international break - no agreement reached with Trent and Carvajal's recent long term injury means Bellingham will be even more in his ear in the England camp, doing Florentino's dirty work.
Trent is a good fit for a team with a diminished midfield, and/or a team with diminished prospects for bringing in top quality central midfielders. However, if Liverpools midfield improves, or is set to improve, “Cheat code” Trent can become a hinderance to the development of said midfielders. We all agree that Trent has failed to play a 6 outright, because he needs more time to read the game, and does not respond well to being pressed. By skipping over the midfield in the buildup, it is quite possible that Trent is stalling the development of Szoboszlai and leaving out an adept attacker Mac Allister. Trent is worth more when the squad isn’t firing on all cylinders, but worth less when the team is fully healthy and in form. “You can’t put a price on Trent” is a true statement today, just as it has been true for the past 3 seasons. Just not sure if people are taking the statement literally lol.
