Before i clicked on the vid I thought I wonder if he was one of the Gurkhas that came running through our ambush in the Brecon Beacons in 1996 when we were out on exercise with the army cadets… joined 95 and mentions the beacons in first 30secs.. could very well be one of them 😂 Plotted up in a fox hole about 2am we heard noise from behind just assumed it was some of our lads until their squad ran through our position and scared shit out of us.. 😂 How did we know they were Gurkhas, because they ran into the guys we were ambushing and scared shit out them too 😂

Our military is small in comparison to other nations but the assets and technology we have are some of the best in the world.. think for a second the amount of money it would cost to maintain and kit out 300.000+ soldiers, feed them, train them, transport them, pay them 😂😂, honestly we’d be like Russia 😂😂.. we possess the best instructors, trainers.. drill Sargents whatever you want to call them, they are that good they could train a piece of shit 💩 to kill you after basic training ..so if it ever came to the point where national service is needed because of WW3 best believe you’d have a conveyor belt churning out well trained troops.. also if our military was the size of America we would all be walking around like jar heads thinking we’re John Rambo, imagine that in your local boozer 😂.. Aside from 🇬🇧 SF our regular forces are some of the best trained and professional soldiers in the world.. RN, RAF too

For me, what sets 22 SAS and the SBS apart from all other elements of UKSF is the selection process. ONLY 22 SAS and the SBS do the full 6 month long program, 21 SAS, 23 SAS and the SBS(R) do not. And none of the others either.
This was a great episode. 3 PARA had ten 17 year olds fighting on Mount Longdon. And forty two 18 year olds! My dad was one of them. Incredible to think they were just kids really.
