Like BMWs and wagons? This is a good channel for you. Plenty of E39 M5 wagon videos, plus various E46 M3 touring stuff and coming soon will be more of the USA’s first manual E91 335d diesel wagon. Follow me on Instagram for all the latest projects at bmwwagonguy
That's a beautiful paint job. I know that's not the factory paint, but beautiful color indeed. Most people do cheap paint jobs to try to flip a car, but when they take shortcuts like that, it's obvious.
Wait did they sell the 335d wagon here in the US? I know of the sedan but I didn't think we got any wagons here, but I also know the e9x wagons are rare in the US to begin with. Also, I assume you did a manual swap? I have heard we never got a factory manual m57 vehicle in the US
@@bmwwagonguy ahhh ok. Thanks for elaborating, you guys did a great job. I might want to do a similar project like this with a facelifted B7 VW Passat TDI. I think they look better in estate form, but obviously we didn't get those here
@@JJ-yi1xv been awhile but i believe the dyno was done in 5th gear which is 1:1. shouldn't matter though. and this transmission is now gone, back to an 8sp auto
I drive it pretty hard every chance I get and it still usually hovers around 30mpg. If I were to take it easy and drive normally, my guess is 40-45mpg but I didn't build it for efficiency, I built it for neck-snapping fun
Would you be interested in building another to sell? Personally I would love for you to build me a S62 540 wagon as well as a 335d wagon. Let me know man. I have an unhealthy obsession with M cars and wagons. I love my 21 e63 wagon but it spent more time in the shop than on the road.
No, I have done commission builds before and people are not very understanding when things go wrong or we have trouble figuring things out, so I only do builds for myself now.
@The BMW Wagon Guy - E39, E46, E91 if it matters, I'm a diesel shop owner that does custom powerstroke to cummins conversions so I feel ya. Would that sway your decision at all?
Once I get it driveable again I will get some video. Currently the clutch pedal is too heavy for driving but I have some things to try when I can get a friend over to help and some time. Stay tuned.
