I'm a huge follower of his artwork and I haven't yet been able to find an interview with him where I can see him talk. I live in the United States. In the first part they're resting and travelling as they don't sleep only rest and consciously breath. Then there's a slightly sgressive tail slap a "bugger off" slap but then they start to mill and make gentle slaps as they start to socially interact... Damn I love marine mammals.
