It doesn't affect the square. It only affects the stitches because you will see the back side of the double crochets every other row. That doesn't bother me 😊

I’m just a beginner but I really like this brand! It’s cheap but not slippery like other cheaper brands so I can experiment and practice without feeling guilty :)
