Hice lo mismo, en en almacén de telas y venden por metro la tela de black out trae una cara vinilo y la otra es una fibra de tela, la imagen es genial y la tela es duradera.
Hi Jeff Only apply a primer before the magnetic plaster if you have a porous surface. Therefore magnetic plaster can be directly applied to a previously painted wall
@@smartersurfaces this question was from 8 months ago. reply also doesn't answer the question which was about priming/painting OVER the magnetic plaster. our project is done. we did use the plaster. it works pretty well. contrary to guidance however, painting over definitely affects the strength of the magnetism. and not painting is feasible only if you're ok with never touching the plaster which rubs right off on your hands when you touch it and will dirty up anything that comes in contact or rubs with it.
I need to magnetize my fiberglass shower pan to keep the shower curtain from blowing in. Any suggestions on how to do this? Will it rust in a wet environment? Can I paint it to both the shower pan and the bottom of the shower curtain?
Hey Adriana, thank you for your question. Unfortunatley, the magnetic paint should not get wet as it would dissolve over time. Maybe use strong magnets and stick them to the curtain?
Will this magnetic wall be strong enough to hold a ceramic tile say 20” x 6” in place? What is the maximum weight? If yes what is the name of your suggested magnets that I would need to attach to my tile to stick to the wall/magnetic surface? Thank for sharing your video.
Thank you for your interest in the Smart Magnetic Plaster. Our magnetic plaster does only hold up to 8 A4 papers with one magnet. It is designed to hold graphics, construction plans or calenders. Hence, it is not strong enough to hold anything heavier than that like tiles. For the best results with our Smart Magnetic Plaster we recommend using our Smart Neo Magnets.
@@smartersurfaces Thank you for your reply. Yes, I was told this by your customer service agent as well, but no one has given me any links yet. I can't find any fluorescent ones like this. Can you recommend any brands or websites please?
@@charlie-george amzn.to/3jR2zSk these aren't the same markers used in our video however they are fluorescent markers listed as an amazon choice product, I hope this helps!
Hi Yesenia. No, WIFI works as normal when surrounded by our magnetic paints and plaster. You can find our FAQ's for magnetic products here: smartersurfaces.ie/questions/magnetic-paint.
Hola!
@@smartersurfaces I'd love seeing the results. This could be something 3D printers would like to see. If it can hold strongly against the pull force of reason printers and adhere well to an aluminum surface you could find a new market. (your paint would need to withstand resins)
Thank you for the video ...our issue is with a white spot glare on our shiny projection surface. Which projector would you recommend to use on the wall?
Hi Divia, Smart Magnetic Whiteboard Paint isn't designed for projection so you will get the hot spotting no matter what projector you choose. For a projection surface we recommend our full range of projection products that you can find here. smartersurfaces.com/clarity-collection.html.
Hi Pierre, yes you can purchase this product via our Canadian website here smartersurfaces.ca/ or contact one of our support team on support@smartersurfaces.com and they will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
Hi Rakesh, yes our products are available in India. You can purchase them via our website www.smartersurfaces.com or speak to one of our customer service agents on support@smartersurfaces.com. Unfortunately we would not be able to carry out the application for you however any painter should be able to complete the process by following the application steps in this video.
Hi Tim, Thanks for the question, we have a number of magnetic surface products. If your looking for a really strong magnetically receptive surface our magnetic plaster would be the best, we also have a magnetic wallpaper and a super magnetic paint. Beer bottle caps that you mention are typically made from a plastic coated steel or plastic, these are not magnetic so they will not stick to a magnetically receptive surface you need a magnet to do that. If you would like give us a call or email and we can give you free technical advice and outline a few other options that might work for you. You can contact us on support@smartersurfaces.com
Will it hold bigger magnets? Like the average size magnets you put on the fridge? The ones in the video are teeny, I'm using this for an infant play space (9+ months), cannot use magnets as small as those pictured they're a choke hazard. THanks
Hi Alex, with Smart Magnetic Paint you would need to use neo-magnets like the ones included in this video. However, we have a stronger magnetic paint called Super Magnetic Paint that can be used with the magnets you've mentioned. You can find this one here: smartersurfaces.com/super-magnetic-paint.html
Hi John, Thanks for commenting. The surface should be cleaned of any dust and sanded before applying the product to the surface. This can be done with regular decorators tools. After the product has dried and cured the surface can be cleaned of marker stains using a cloth or by using a whiteboard cleaning spray. We do stock one which can be found here: bit.ly/2OiEKYO. For tougher stains or permanent marker stains, you can use a spay like our Permanent Ink Remover spray which can be found here: bit.ly/2Ok8apx. Hope this helps, if you have any more questions please let us know.
Hello! my name is Megan. I live on a 40 ft sailboat and I we are in the process of remodeling our v berth for our 5 year old son and I thought this was a great option.. However.. Do you think there are any health risks of having magnetic paint is tiny quarters? Do you think this product would have problems painting on fiberglass? or if it does ok under high humidity? The number one struggle with living on a boat is moisture so Im just trying to figure out the best option :P
Hi Megan, Thank you for your comment. There are no health concerns with the magnetic paint, it is low VOC and contains no harsh chemicals. It is used worldwide within schools of young children and children's bedrooms. Humidity will also not affect the paint, it is applied in very hot countries with high humidity with no problem. Hopefully this helps, If you have any other questions please let us know.

hello, i am interested in it. I am architect in Georgia and i really need this product for my works, today i am working for school projects and of course i am so inspirated by your product and i buy your dry erase paint, but i don't know how can i prepare my gypsum and wall to paint. If you could to tell me where is the information about preperation i will be so proud. Thanks for this product i will wait for your replay.
Hi Lizi, we have a full video showing each of the steps needed to prepare your wall. See it here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oEcqa6UM3IE.html. You can also find an application guide available on our website here: bit.ly/2PfyKuV Please keep in mind that when applying our Whiteboard Paint in white it is essential to prime your surface with a water based primer. If you have any further questions please let us know.
Hi Andrea, this video focuses on our magnetic plaster application so the in use elements of the video show predominantly magnetic uses. However, if you are interested in seeing how whiteboard marks can be removed from walls we have a number of dry erase application videos that show this, including the video linked here. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oEcqa6UM3IE.html

Hi Tiffany, unfortunately due to the magnetic particles in the paint, Smart Magnetic Paint is only available in grey. However, you can achieve the colour of your choice by painting over with normal paint. We recommend applying a white water based primer (such as Smart White Primer) before applying your desired colour.

Thanks Andrea! We think it is a great example of how using Smart Dry Erase Wallcovering and Smart Magnetic Plaster can really improve how people work together.
This is a very misleading application video of this product. It clearly shows a four coat system which on the face of it gives many advantages over other similar products on the market. In this digital age, most people chose to look at an application video than to read the product application guide. Presumably this is why Smarter Surfaces have taken the trouble to supply a simple application video!! So how great is this four coat system? Well it seems to be that it is not a four coat system at all. On reading their written application data : • We recommend 3 coats of Smart Magnetic Paint. You can apply extra coats to increase the magnetic performance (no more than 7). Application between coats is approx 2 hrs so it is one day to apply the minimum coats of the metal base coat. The video shows a primer of one coat but they do say until the grey is covered and it is shown covered. The written application guide also says "until the grey colour is completely covered" • Prime the magnetic surface using a good quality water based white primer, such as Smart White Primer, until the grey colour is completely covered. When speaking to the company, they stipulate that you have to apply two coats of primer to cover the grey. Possibly the opacity of the primer may not be a good as they possibly make out on the video. I presume with just one coat of primer, the grey will show through the final whiteboard top coat. • Primer Drying time takes 2-4 hours between coats and 12 hours after the final coat has been applied. This will now take you well into the second day of application. So for the final coat, day three. This is pretty straight forward as I have used the Smart board paint before in painting projects here in London as a professional painter. So project finished!! Video says: STEP 9 Please note that your wall will be ready to use 5 days from application of your Smart Wall Paint. However on reading the products written application data .. it states: Please note the ‘Ready to Use’ date (seven days from application) when users will be able to start writing on and wiping off the new Smarter Surface. The company does guarantee the product for 10 years but if the pens are applied two days before the 7 day period, maybe the surface hasn't completely hardened and the marker pen may penetrate the surface and result in ghosting. So do wait 7 days. To sum up, this is a three day application process to achieve minimum results and is not quite a short process as we are led to believe. Maybe Smarter surfaces could supply a new application video or update the current one with extra screen text stating extra base coats and primer coats. I have contacted the company and expressed my concern that the video is "misleading", but they didn't appreciate the word "misleading" for obvious reasons, so let's just say the video is "not as clear as it could be" I hope this article helps anyone looking at comparing different magnetic products on the market.
Hi Andrew, thanks for your feedback. The first time you called, us earlier today, our sales team explained all the application steps to you. You then asked to speak to a Manager. You were immediately transferred to a director in our company who listened to your feedback and promised to call you back before the end of the day. After listening to your feedback, we immediately assembled our video team and product experts and reviewed both our video and print application guides, based on your claim of "misleading information" - the first such feedback we have received after selling this product all over the world for 2 years. We phoned you back within one hour of your first call to us. Our director had a 17 minute conversation with you to explain that the video does not specify the number of coats as customers can choose to apply 3 to 7 coats of magnetic paint, depending on their choice of time to paint and desired strength of magnetic surface. In our print and web application guides, we specify this very clearly. Both video and print /web application guide information are presented together. www.smartersurfaces.co.uk/magnetic-whiteboard-paint-white.html Throughout all of this engagement, we apologised that you found our application information misleading at least 6 times. As customer satisfaction is extremely important to us, we then offered you an alternate - and much more expensive - product to try , which you immediately declined. This is all even though you did not make any purchase from us. We are genuinely sorry you feel this way. Best regards, the Smarter Surfaces team.
