These days, I'm back home in Toronto, Canada. I concentrate on helping people prepare for tests such as the IELTS, TOEFL, and SAT. As you might have guessed by now, I live and love the English language.
And, yes, I know English can be difficult; but it is also beautiful, and it can give you so much pleasure. Come, try it out. You'll be glad you did.
I was taught that we can not add " ing" to state verbs, and only action verbs can have "ing" at the end. But here i can see that we can have ing in state verbs when we want to imply the progression(becoming). I have a question. Do we have any other special cases. In the setences below : "i am having a good time", "You are being so mean", " i am thinking about you" , " are you seeing someone", are having", "being", " thinking" , " seeing" linking verbs or are they action verbs???
what I exactly understood from these two sentences are; When I say 'I'll be at the office until noon' means=I'll come to the office at 09.00 and wont leave the office till 12.00 so anytime u come to office,u can find me there whereas when we say 'I'll be at the office by noon' means there is no definite time for to arrive at the office,I might come maybe at 10 or eleven or 11.59 so U cant find me in the office at a certain time,I cant give you a specific time period,So if the person u wanna meet tells you that he''ll be at the office by noon,u definitely will av to ask him what exact time will u be in the office, great examples to pick this subject properly
I completely agree with you. In my work sometimes I have to speak with gringos through the phone and before taking the call I take a deep breath, relax and be confident and I realize how effective it is. I can understand them well, and my English is fluent. When I was so stressed everything went bad and felt very frustrated

When I tried to tell my grandpa how to use a smartphone, he couldn't really use the phone effectively. "You can not teach an old new tricks," I said. The above story is ridiculously fake.
