yeah unless you want to actually go anywhere. I only get around 26km riding at 40kmh. I can boost it to around 38km if I ride at 28kmh but that's still very low battery capacity. I really like my falcon, but it is extremely bad value.
I had to completely disassemble the wheel starting from the top to gain access to the motor bolts. Thankfully there weren't too many screws. The only tough part is knowing how to compress the suspension when putting the wheel back together.
@@prayformywheels You should upgrade the screws as Soon as possible. One thing with these Chinese makers is that they will use the cheapest of products ever to make whatever which is partly why there are so many unnecessary issues
@@curtflirt2 I've taken apart my falcon twice. Thankfully, the hardware is holding up well. It's important to start loosening the bolts with hand tools.
@@prayformywheels I say this because I've watched two videos this week from different euc riders where they've used the hand tools and have still ended up stripping the cheap screws. It's always good to change to premium quality screws. Go watch go George go video of him opening up his ET Max and how easy it wss to strip those screws
Why Keep The Begode MTen4. It Has A Real Unstable Ride At Times. Also Most And Even Kids Say. The Mten4 Hurts Their Legs When Riding. Very Uncomfortable At Times.
Mten4 vs Mten5. Considering double cost, overall. I don't speed, just trying to use as commute to the work, and carry it to the office. Looking for small EUC. I was falling into Mten5 in the beginning, but this video scared me. ru-vid.comyYIi2V90cog?si=JVlTCE5H6UqNonfr Also, a lot of bad reviews abt Mten5.. any advice please?
The Mten5 over heats. Begode found a solution for Ewheels. But now the wheel is basically $1300. You might as well get the Mten4 for $900 from Alien Rides
@@prayformywheels bad news for me . veteran s has no connection error only because of firmware update. I need a whole new motherboard now. I'm devastated
I love the concept of electric unicycles. A beautiful answer to todays personal transport problems. They have massive potential. But they have a problem in that the vast majority of early adopters seem to be arseholes, who go for speed while failing to properly understand the dynamics of these machines. And these idiots scare sane people away from adopting them, believing they are dangerous due to seeing lots of the crashes resulting from the EUCs being overdriven.
Begode was good at one point but sherm L is my next wheel started on my v11 tried a few other wheels the master pro the lynx the sherman s the og sherman and the v13 couldn't do the v13 or master pro with how I ride them things are too fucking heavy while the sherman L may not be much lighter any bit of weight I can save while still having power and range is great the sherman s is capable of being overpowered and so far all im hearing about the L is its a long range heavy lynx.
@@prayformywheels the wheel is only as good as the rider ive followed people on a sherman s while I was on my v11 and kept seeing them look back for me especially in hill climbs and not one time when they looked back was I falling behind. Unless they can remove 10lbs from the master pro It won't be on my list of wheels im looking at as an upgrade especially when in considering my next wheel I need power range and less weight with good suspension.
I agree, as long as your horn is loud enough to get the attention of other vehicles. I find that many drivers lack awareness and don't check their side view mirrors for cyclists or PEVs on the road.
I still don't know what to think of the Mten5. I hope they improved the axle and gave it a hollow bore. It is a shame that the Mten mini has a hollow bore axle and the Falcon for example does not. So far I couldn't find any information on the Mten5's axle. Also, I am NOT sold on the new frame for the Mten5. It might work good for Mten mini, but that wheel is slow and won't see that much abuse. The Mten5 on the other hand is way faster and might see a bit more rough treatment. Metal just bends (and might be able to be bent back into shape), polycarbonate will crack. Especially in cold weather, making it even more likely to crack, I would prefer metal. On top of that, they used a translucent polycarbonate, which almost always turns out to be more brittle than their opaque counterparts. But I guess we have to wait for all those reviews (hope they being honest and not just catering to Begode to sell them fast...).
It would be nice if they improved the axle this time around. Thankfully, I have not run into any issues with my Mten4. I'm not sold on the polycarbonate frame as well. Reviewers get excited for new wheels and make it seem like the latest version is perfect. I'm looking forward to long-term reviews from riders.
Yeah, it is waiting for now. But it is Begode we are talking about. So by the time the "real" reviews start to come in, they probably already have announced the Mten6 or Mten mini 2 or slt...lol
The crash at around 6 minutes in happened purely because you were going too fast. I couls see in earlier footage that, unless you had absolutely fantastical amount of torque, that was way to fast for a unicycle to be stable. Given the physical size of the machine there cannot be sufficient battery capacity to power a motor of high enough power for more than a couple of miles or so. A small bump in the surface will require the wheel to accelerate hard momentarily to correct a forward leaning force. If the rider leaves insufficient surplus power to provide this sharp acceleration the unicycle will fall forwards. A general rule of unicycle riding is to never ride at over about half power, otherwise you are asking for a faceful of road surface. It could clearly be seen that these guys were going well in excess of that.
That’s clearly not what happened. Watch again. The rider behind was being careless and took a foot off while seated. As a result they were extremely slow to brake. And crashed into what was in front of them.
@@FloWithZo In any event, is that not the very definition of going too fast? Leaving inadequate time to respond? But the feet aren't used for braking these machines. All manouevring is done by upper body weight shifts. In braking your upper body weight is used to balance the motor torque which slows you down. If the motor is being run near it limits then it will have very little room to respond. Result = 'gravel rash' if you are lucky.
For long-distance rides, it's better to use a larger wheel. While they can handle light trails, they may not be as comfortable due to their weight. The Begode ET Max is equipped with low battery boxes that enhance stability when riding at high speeds on the street. However, this feature could be problematic on heavy trails, although it performs well on light trails. I'm glad you enjoyed my video. Thanks
It's called a J1772 to NEMA 15-5 adapter. It is compatible with any 240V charger and works at any EV station, except for the dedicated Tesla charging station. Let me know if you would like me to create a video specifically explaining how to charge an EUC.
If you are lucky, you may be able to find some good deals in the secondhand market. Usually when people are trying to get rid of their old wheels, they sell it for a discounted price.
I appreciate the improvements Begode made to the Mten5. However, the increased weight to 41 pounds from 28 pounds on the Mten4 doesn't sit well with me.
Bro, do you know how many disabled people could benefit from this. Getting people outdoors on the trails, who would otherwise live a life never having seen such beauty. And cheers to the sound discipline. Much respect!
They are individuals with disabilities using personal electric vehicles such as electric unicycles or Onewheels. I have also seen off-road four-wheeled bikes designed for people with disabilities. Thank you!
I second the Lynx with a shinko 241. I do wonder how fun it might be on a smaller wheel like the mten5 or mten4 with knobby. I believe both are capable of keeping up with onewheels. Of that all depends on the riders as well.
@@BigORider The Shinko 241 is a great off-road tire, but it wears down too fast for my liking. The Mten4 motor is too weak for off-road use. Begode has improved the power on the Mten5, but the pedals are too low. The Falcon would definitely perform well on trails.
