Why not use a conformal coat remover? They make it as a spray and a pen form. I use it all the time at work, spray it onto q-tips and just rub it onto the board to remove coatings.

Just wanted to say I absolutely love your products. Your Sci-Fi board really makes enjoying my older markers that much easier. Haven't stopped raving about it to my teammates and friends still rolling with cockers/timmys/AKA/etc.
