Thanks very much for making this video! Portugal is one of our favorite European destinations- we were in Lisboa and Coimbra (with a day trip to Porto) in the spring, and we loved it so much that we are planning a longer return trip. In general, we like smaller, less-visited towns since overtourisim is a real concern for us. ( and we don't want to drive because of carbon footprint. Renting a car is a very last resort, we'll probably take the bus) But at the same time, we want to go to places that have at least a couple of cafes and places to stay. Your video has been a big help in the research... thanks again!

Would be nice to see an example of your accommodations and a price guide. Unless that's not your thing, but rather just the area. Accommodations are huge part of a decision to staying somewhere

We haven’t had the chance to visit Lourdes yet (it’s in a beautiful town in the Pyrenees, France), but we’d love to go someday and would feel blessed to have the opportunity. It is scary, but despite those conditions (airport inside the city) and many flights a day, the last accident there was 17 years ago. Especially because of this airport, it is not allowed very high buildings in São Paulo city. They can be seen in Balneário Camboriú in Santa Catarina state, for example (buildings over 70 floors).
Hello Nancy, Thank you for your thoughtful comment! You're absolutely right about Congonhas Airport-it can feel a bit intense landing so close to the buildings in São Paulo. We’ve flown into Congonhas a few times ourselves, and while it can be a bit scary, thankfully, we’ve never had any issues. As we know, Congonhas Airport has maintained a strong safety record. I (Eli) still remember the major accident 17 years ago-it was a tragic time for many, including some of my neighbors who lost loved ones. You also brought up a great point about the building regulations near the airport. These rules are mainly in place for safety, though they aren't applied city-wide. São Paulo still has plenty of tall buildings, just not as close to the airport. Thanks again for sharing your great points and thoughts! 😊 Wishing you all the best and safe travels! ✈️😍🙏🏻
@@DiscoveringDestinations , anyway, I know it's scary. But for people who take often the "ponte aérea Rio-São Paulo", it's already "quite normal"... São Paulo grew a lot and "swallowed" this domestic airport. There is no place for another airport in a safer location. I saw you are Canadian. I would be afraid to fly in cold countries, too, especially during the winter. I was already in Canada many yeas ago (september).

@@DiscoveringDestinations I really don't want to be a jerk but the 'are you not entertained" reference is totaly out of place in Epidauros. That is a theatre not a stadium! That is where the greatest art form took place! It has nothing to do with gladiators and people dying for the pleasure of the masses! Even a "to be or not to be" would suffice...
@@fotiskepelis1 Thank you for your comment, we really appreciate all messages and respond to every one of them. Please note that we meant no disrespect with the quote. I was expressing myself on that given day and the first thing that came to mind was to mimic what I think was a great actor in a great movie. In hindsight, I could have said many things, like quoted Hamlet and even recited the alphabet. One thing I believe is not doubting and second guessing oneself. As you said, this is a theatre and not a stadium, I acted out a verse from the Gladiator movie whilst trying to get over stage fright. Moreover, I was shocked to see a guy kicked out (quite rudely actually) for playing a beautiful musical piece. I think the theatre was designed for this purpose and nothing was written about restrictions of things to say and do on the main stage. Thanks for watching, Serge & Eli.

Hello George, thank you so much for your comment and input. We have seen prices increase for travel in general. Before 2020 in Canada, we could travel around the country with really good deals for hotels, especially because we love the national parks around the Canadian Coast and Quebec. However, now it's so expensive! That said, we remain firm that Tolo offered great value. Our apartment in Tolo was amazing, and if we were traveling around Canada, the price would be almost triple for the same high-level apartment. Plus, Tolo is an amazing place with beautiful beaches, which we don’t have here, so we were amazed by Greece in general. It’s a gorgeous country! We wish you an amazing summer time!
