You go girl! Scissors at the ready, hold your breath and cut. I’m glad you did this as a RU-vid short, it shows all is not lost if you have knit your straps to long. 💕. Iris
Hi ow would you use the barber cord to hold stitches in a vertical way, in case you need to pick up stitches for a button band for instance. There must be a way to put the last and first stitch of the row on a tube instead of having to pick them up afterwards... I have seen it on youtube but don't find it back. Doh
oh, that's lovely! is the pattern available? I'm new to knitting (just learned how to purl after knitting in the round for 3 projects) and would LOVE to make my 1st sweater!
Hi! The pattern is available on Ravelry. This is the Happen Sweater by Ankestrick. If you want to join our knit-a-long, you can sign up here: Happen Sweater by Ankestrick
The key is finding the right projects too! I purchased a couple great books at your shop that help with this, Artful Color, Mindful Knits by Laura Militzer Bryant and The Knitters Guide to Variegated Yarn by Lorna Miser.
Keep on shopping for me Stacey you do a great job. Love the blue dress is that part of the sale items😉. I’ll be up to shop and pick up my goodies.💕. Iris
What fun. I’m so glad I got to meet Ann last week what a great addition to the staff. I love the crocheted sweater that Ande was wearing, what a great way to show how to use different sizes in one pattern to better fit your body. Crocheting isn’t just your grandmother’s crocheting, there is so many new designs and patterns. Thanks Stacey💕. Iris
Naming the wrap…is it based on Pressed Petals? I like the idea that it’s warmer (?) for winter, and there’s seed stitch, making me think of how seeds under the snow become flowers the next season before they can be pressed petals in the late summer and fall. Can you get creative with that? Sleeping Perennials? Under the Snow wrap? There’s a cool childrens book called Under the Snow that might offer inspiration.
Great to see you both. Stacey can’t wait to see your crocheting. And, Marla I love your cowl. I never would have put those colors together either but they look great in the cowl. 💕
What a great interview! Thank you, Melani for your words of wisdom and inspiration! You are so creative and I love your patterns! I may have to look up that unicorn pattern, too! 🤗❤️ I really enjoyed this interview and learned so much. 😊
