I just watched the trilogy on Hulu the other day, and I immediately ordered it on Blu Ray for collection purposes. Then I started looking for reviews for the Apes Trilogy and DAYUM. This one was THE best Rise review I've ever seen. Well done! I'm going to search and watch the other 2.
Alex from someone who considers herself a writer/filmmaker who has almost lost faith in anything anymore, after watching your video here, I cannot wait to get home to finish writing my script and more. You matter. What you are doing matter. I don't know you but I know you if you know what I mean. You have done with this video what I dream to do with my films and writings. And I know how much it would mean for me to see someone say these words to me after watching or reading my work. Thank you for your beautiful work. ❤
I got into Batman as a kid because of how cool and badass he was, I’m a young adult now and I continue to love him not because he’s cool but because The Batman is such an amazing character
How much do you think harlan is at fault of trombeys ending up like this? Isn`t it kinda inevitble that with a father this successful you will grow up either insecure, unable to do anything on your own, prideful because you feel the need to prove you are as worthy as a person whose shadow you can`t escape, spoiled or cursed to attract people who care more of your status than you? The longer those people stick around the higher is the risk that they are just great liers. Did these people really ever had any chance? In some twisted way Marta is more privileged than any of them, because she wasn`t raised rich, wasn`t weighed down by his shadow, but still got to have that inheritence by just... being good person? The worst part is that it wasn`t even being good person that saved her, in fact, that would definetely kill her if not a pure luck. She just got lucky it wasn`t her tenth or fivth evening of injecting that needle, she just got lucky the real killer didn`t predict insane possibility of nurses remembering the colors of right injections without even realising it. It`s all just pure luck.
very cool video. i gotta say the only thing i dislike about ghost protocoll was the fact that contrary to how those special agents usually have the craziest, modern gadgets to help them succeed, in ghost protocol almost everything went wrong or broke down. its just a minor thing but i noticed it immediately and felt kinda forced to me. oh and i wished brandt would have played a bigger part in later movies - his introduction as chief analyst and later on showing his true skills in the scene with moreau was just awesome.
Okay yes this trilogy of Planet of the Apes was absolutely awesome, amazing and real but I keep seeing videos talking about the directors, writers and the 2 main actors, I'm sorry but I'm tired of hearing about them because I give credit to who credit is due James Franco, I don't hear much about him which is wrong because to be real remember he was suppose to put Caesar out, Franklin gave him the option to do it or not, now if he had put Caesar away there will be no Caesar. I honestly feel James Franco wasn't giving enough credit for that compassion. Now I'm not a James Franco fan but he does deserve more of the credit. God Bless. 🙂🙂
This was the perfect trilogy of movies. You paid absolute respect to them with the perfect trilogy of videos. My dude… seriously. These were an amazing watch. I already LOVED these movies, but your videos just solidified them as possibly my favorite of all time. The way you did justice to the movies, the music, the actors, and everyone/everything else that brought them to life. Just amazing. Legend.
When ceaser yell NOOOO! To this day no moment in any movie ive seen has given me the feeling that scene did. The power and meaning behind it. Rge sound of his voice, his face gives me chill every singke time.
Shutting down traffic in new orleans for your monkey movie is hilarious to me for some reason. I living in acadiana and we feud with nola so that could be why.
When it comes to the spot, I hated how he was treated as a joke and just a joke villain for most of the movie, especially by Miles in particular. They are both responsible for each others current predicaments and you’d think Miles would be more compassionate and understanding and actually be interested in helping him somehow, but no, he’s just a threat to him and nothing else. People always tell me that’s the point, he’s supposed to not be taken seriously and is a joke until he’s an actual threat, but I guess I was just expecting much more than just that. I also am very conflicted on canon events. I know most people say that either Miguel is straight up lying or he’s omitting some things but doesn’t Peter B having been there for that other universe being destroyed and Indian Spider-Man’s universe unraveling after disrupting his canon event prove that Miguel is right? Even if canon can be broken, I feel that would undermine all the people the other spider people had that died in their lives. Like they all could have possibly been saved all this time had they not just listened to Miguel. Peter b was right when he said that it’s those bad things in every spider person’s life that gives them the ability to make all these good things happen, not just in their life but the lives of the people they go onto save. Also, if it is indeed true that our Peter was supposed to live and our Miles wasn’t supposed to get bit by the spider and was supposed to bite someone from Earth 42, how come that didn’t immediately tear a hole in both universes like it did for Indian Spider-Man? Both of their canon events were disrupted, Our Peter died but wasn’t fated to and no one from Earth 42 who were meant to be bitten was bit. I don’t specifically say that Earth 42 Miles was supposed to get bit because I saw somewhere else someone say it was supposed to bite the Peter Parker of Earth 42, which would make more sense since. There was no Spider-Man whatsoever ever in that universe, unless there has been an iteration of Spider-Man in the comics or another adaptation in media where Miles is the original Spider-Man and that’s what this universe is based off of or just supposed to be in general. If Miles getting bit by the spider from the other universe changed his dna to be from that universe, shouldn’t he have been glitching while in his own universe since his dna is really no longer the same as people of his universe? When Miguel says that Miles is an anomaly, is that the real reason? Because of him technically being simultaneously from two different universes? Not necessarily his existence as Spider-Man, but just the fact that this version of him was bitten by the spider at all? Because Earth 42 Miles was supposed to become Spider-Man and not our Miles? Or should he be glitching in both because of originating from his universe but also having his dna altered to that of earth 42?
Absolute Cinema. Im glad i remembered to come back and watch this, since i watched the first two years ago. Thank you for the video, it was lovely, and got me in my feels. The Apes trilogy will always be a masterpiece.
I was sobbing my ass off during this movie, crying wondering why they weren’t explaining to him what was going on…. Caesar thought that they didn’t want to bring him home, because they never explained to him that they couldn’t legally do that even tho they wanted to. :( they treated him like an animal. Not explaining the details as if he wouldn’t understand anyway. But he DOES! They already know his intellect rivals an 8 year old human so why not at LEAST treat him like a child
I think Miguel was going to recruit Miles after he learned about everything and if Miles accepted it. Why wouldn’t he just send him home and tell everyone in the Spider Society that they cannot go to 1610 unless needed and it can’t be someone Miles knows. Even when Miles was starting to argue Miguel still tried to explain it to him hoping that he would agree. Only til he realized that Miles was just too stubborn did he lock him up.
I don usually comment but... Thank you... I've been feeling depressed, without any will to do, well... Anything. Everyday i question myself what am i doing with my life, what is wrong with me, but this video just... Made me sob in my desk, because it made me feel like its not the end, that I still can do better, that my life isn't worthless. I don't know how is your channel going, but this really helped me a lot, so thank you for making this video.
29:17 one element also in this is that Koba and Caesar are both right. Caesar can't remain in his idealized haven forever. If the humans regain their foundation, they will encroach on the apes. Much like how humans have done this to other humans in the ancient world. Very powerful movie.
