The problem is that's not always the case. And false promises of marriage could manipulate and hurt individuals regardless of their gender. These laws were needed years ago. They were made to safeguard women and that's a good thing. Now unfortunately the same laws are weaponized against men. False accusations are more common than you think. What's the problem with laws being gender neutral. Excluding sexual offences, laws should be gender neutral. "Everyone is equal before the law regardless of their gender, race, caste" is promoted but not practiced.

Problem is if a teenage guy is involved in sexuak activity, women tell that he is grown enough but when it's a teen girl and slightly grown up man, it becomes a heinous situation. Although having sex with a minor is covered under POCSO, usually women get away with it very easily. Talking about other form of rape, now that rape on pretext of marriage is again being re-established as rape by BNS, mostly it's a woman who takes a U-turn from marriage after a long term physical relationship. But Indian hypocrite society and govt see women as some Devis meanwhile same Devis are developing sleeping around habits like a piece of cake. Another form of rape by a woman upon a man is when the woman is at power of authority. We talk about workplace harassment and women's safety but in those cases we see men being the perpetrators. But trust me men being harassed and even forced to mate with their female bosses is becoming common. For some it might sound absurd and alienating but it is growing quickly. I have been subject to such crime. I used to talk to a girl(colleague in different department) who was very attractive and she was also attracted to me but we did have a platonic relationship as we were already committed. Meanwhile her colleague who was not so beautiful was really jealous of no man talking to her in free time. She tried to sexually exploit me but luckily I escaped that sh*t. I had to quit but that nightmare was over and I didn't let her intentions win but trust me I went through a lot of BS. Corporate world is cruel. And fastass ugly looking women are the biggest hypocrite jerks you will come across. Again coming back to having sex on pretext of any form of commitment is becoming common. Women using sex as a tool to exploit and fraud men financially perhaps should also be considered as consent obtained by fraduery for monetary benefits. But the biggest problem is men cannot speak up about their part of the story be it rape or plain harassment. If a man tries to do that, the woman falsely complains against him for the same leaving the man being unheard and her drawing all the attention towards herself. Many developed countries like in the US or UK where the laws are gender neutral, one can see that the crimes committed by women are in no way lesser than men with crimes ranging from gr@pe to pdf filia!
