We are constantly repairing and rebuilding fitness equipment. Mostly home equipment like treadmills, ellipticals, recumbents etc. Absolutely subscribe!! Bizzare machine issues come through here every week. When I watch "how to videos", it drives me crazy when the person talks way too much, so I'm constantly skipping forward hoping not to miss the part I'm after. So I wanted to make it a point in my videos to get directly to the point and don't spend too much time on a specific procedure that can easily be paused if needed by the viewer.
The speed sensor would be a small 2 or 3 wire harness going to the controller. The cylinder side is located close to the pulley side of the front roller, where the motor belt is. It reads the magnet on the roller measuring speed...... if you're getting an error code for this, make sure the sensor is within 1/8 inch of the magnet
I have a nordictrack 2200r. My problem is the touchpad. It is an intermittent problem in that either they all work or only a few buttons work. So would it be 100 percent dirty ribbon cables? I ask because mine look clean to me. Could it be anything else if after cleaning them anyway, and yet the buttons still dont work? Thank you.
You could try trimming the end of the cables back 1/16th of an inch. My success rate on cleaning cables is about 80%, some of them are just too far gone and the console needs replaced. Yours being intermittent suggests cleaning the cables should work
how much does the track weight once the base and top portion is remove? we have the opportunity of getting this treadmill for free, the catch is we have to get it out of a basement
Hi There, is there anychance that you have wiring diagram to share? i just bougth a used 2450 Commercial treadmill, but the wiring looks like a mess, so i want to check if everything is connected propoerly, thanks
went to turn on my 2450 used it the night before and nothing on the no power to the screen no fans no movement dead in the water. console is completely dead but the treadmill does have power to the controller looks like i need a new controller>?
If voltage is not present at the console side of the harness, is either the harness or controller. If 12vdc is present on the console side of the harness, then it's the console. Likely the tablet in the console.
I have an annoying squeak when I run directly in the center. If I run up high or very low on the belt there is no squeak. Any ideas what is causing this squeak? The belt is aligned and rubber feet on bottom are in great condition.
I just did this repair and there is no need to remove the handrail or the base of the console. Just remove the back cover (16 screws) and then disconnect the one connector and ground wire and then all the fasteners on the back of the console. There are three on each side, 2 each top and bottom, and the four bolts on each of the two metal brackets.
I'm looking for a treadmill and can get a good price on a NordicTrack 1000 but the main motor is reported as faulty. Can the motors generally be serviced or must it be replaced? Are they expensive or are generic options available? Thanks
Just know that you are bringing so much joy to a 8 and 10 year old today when they get home from school. Got a C990 3.0CHP for free. After all the work of getting in the house it did not work. I accidentally deleted the IFIT app but I still followed your instructions and it works. This is after being on the phone with client care for over 1 hour. I cannot believe that they told me it’s discontinued and can’t help me… wow how is that customer service? You are an amazing person for doing this video. Thank you!
Just bought a used nordictrack today. Everything worked perfectly so i connected to the internet and it updated. Sure enough i toasted the treadmill because i updated it. This video saved me!! Question, if auto update is turned on, will it try to update and liop again? Should i not update ever again?

Thank you for the video i got the bootloop to stop. The only thing is the buttons are unresponsive to going back or home screen. Maybe the screen just needs replaced?

Hello. I have a Nordictrack e7.2 elliptical which has a this problem. I mede what you sugest in this video, opened the console and cleaned the terminals of the two flat cables and reinserted them into the slot, which worked once, but the second time I try to use the keys they no longer respond. anyone has some idea why is this happening? Note that i've made this procedure more than one time and it's allways the same, works for one time but the next time i try to use it no longer avilable. I should say that i'm very gratefull to "GITGIFT" Thank you very much.
Hello, can anyone guide me to mounting my sd card back? somehow I unmounted the sd card and i can't mount it back up to be able to proceed with the ifit download
Sounds like friction taking that long to stop. Clean and lubricate the deck. If you feel groves burned into the deck where you walk, then flip the deck, then lubricate it
Deck is good, followed the video entirely, no more issues! However, the dual fans built into the console haven’t worked in quite some time. Any suggestions on what to check?
Good video, no stupid dialogue, just information! BTW a jump pack or jumper cable will power a gate just fine until one gets around to running power. I welded a lifting eye at each end of mine for easy install with an engine hoist. How much you can carry depends on your rear suspension (stock is always soft) so I use Hellwig overload leaves and Timbren urethane springs (they do not conflict) on my F150.
I was curious what the symptoms could be on a motor that has not quite failed but maybe is on its way out. For example on my 2450 recently if you set the speed to 4.0mph it seems the motor speed might fluctuate slightly slower for some time and then speed back up. Not always but sometimes or in one case to get a 4.0mph pace I needed to have it at 4.8mph. But maybe the incorrect voltage is going to the motor to cause this and maybe the speed sensor is the case.
Depending on the age, it might not have a speed sensor, yet the speed is still adjustable. If you're getting speed fluctuation, it's most likely an issue with the controller sending erratic voltage to the motor.
@@gitfit875 Its really subtle - like one day it was for a consistent 10 minutes then it returned back to normal speed - then once it was normal speed then slowed for the rest of the duration of use ~40min - I had to up the speed to 4.8mph to get it to go at the 4.0mph pace. Its 4 years old and only has ~950 miles on it.
It can be so hard to find on some models!! It's often on the parameter, in the groove where the plastic housing fits together. Tiny! I use a flashlight quite often to locate it.
