Wild to me that you are allowed to use a go pro while loading at the rack! I got a feeling if the rack found out about this video you’d be locked out immediately! I’ve never been to a terminal that would allow such activities
Last year I went on Mom‘s away, but I don’t know why, but I was too scared to do riptide racer because I went headfirst this year. I went and I went on riptide racer miles away. Reaser is one of my favorite rides at the park if you haven’t been on it I totally.Recommed
I wish the rest of the driving public was required at the very least to do a short ride along in a truck so they can see our perspective before they grant some dummy a class C license. Might make them think twice and have a little more patience.
Do we have to say everything like you are in the video during the test? Like announce we will be stopping at the stop sign, before the white line, and proceeding when traffic is clear, etc? And everything like you did in the video? Teacher didnt mention any of this yet and we have been out twice driving! Didnt even mention we have to be calling out hazards, signs, nothing! Exactly why Im doing my own research and taking it upon myself to make sure he is even teaching us right.
This video is so helpful just got my Cdl the only problem I have is stalling my truck from a stop because I think I don’t give it much gas or let go of the clutch fast not sure

Hi there, I just obtained my CDL do you know any companies that will hire me in southern CA with no experience? I really want to get in the fuel, hauling industry
You know I bet your not supposed to get a fuel truck loaded... while being naked covered in green Jello while reading playboy smoking a Cuban....but you know I thank the man knows what he is doing y'all
How to safely load? WTF bro. You're recording with a cell phone. You're a danger to everyone else at the terminal. You are the lowest common denominator. Well done.
Having hauled fuel for many years, I've always set my proceedures to match the strictest SOP of the racks I go to. Like turning off all lights, the radio and such when I pull up to the gate. No idling when I'm waiting to enter the rack. Chocking the wheels if I get out of the cab and not inside the rack. Doing a walk around to check for hot brakes or flats and empty compartments before entering the rack. Leaving my cell opine in the cab and always be at the emergency shut off while loading. Doing all of those things every time no matter where I was kept me in check all the time even ifnthe facility didn't require it. I'll say this much. At a lot of racks, if they saw you hop out of your truck to get your BOL and left your truck idling, they'd lock you out for 3 or 7 days.
So when coming to a stop(from say 6th gear) that is about to turn green, I can coast in neutral while pressing on the break to slowdown and not stall and just re engage by giving a blip to about 15 rpm and putting it in say 3rd gear? so that i dont have to completely stop and reset? Thanks for the demonstration btw
The scully is mostly to prevent from overflow when loading. Each compartment has a probe inside at a set height that if the fuel reaches a certain overflow level it will stop flow. Depending how many compartments you load at a time and the flow rate of the fuel arms they can be loaded in 8-15 minutes
Nashville must be in the stone age. Their seemingly antiquated systems are not as smooth and seamless as this system. 24 years trucking, mainly OTR and LTL, I decided to try fuel delivery. Definitely have to pay attention to what you're doing, at the point of delivery as well. Great video, my friend.
To drivers who needs to know how it goes. Make sure you have your compartment increments already tallied up then before entering the rac go around the truck check your tires and knock on the take just in case to know if your still have product in those compartments! Then change the product compartments if needed. It makes it easier when going in the rac and less room for mixing loads or scullying out
I have a class B CDL that I got 20 years ago. Have driven trucks with 5 and 6 speed synchromesh trannys and I enjoyed your video about double clutching a non synchro gearbox.I found that even with a synchro tranny double clutching does make shifting easier.
