I play airsoft in Utah with a team/group called Black Thorn Airsoft; a few years ago we used to go up to Camp Williams Army National Guard Base and play airsoft on their MOUT facility, FOB, and a forested area on the outskirts of the base. There were about 10 of us that were able to go up there and on the third time out we were posing as an OPFOR for a very large number of National guard soldier, (All newer guys that had not gone to basic training or just got back from basic) There were four platoons of the guardsmen and they sent one platoon into the field at a time and our team "BTA" had to set up an ambush and try and take them all out, while the guardsmen had to quickly come up with a plan and work as a team to take us out, the OPFOR. We destroyed them pretty badly haha, but it was an awesome experience, one I will never forget, Sgt. Day, the man who was running the whole thing thanked us afterwords and had all the guardsmen thank us, we then thanked all of them for their service and for the awesome experience. Sgt. Day then presented us with an American flag patch, and a dog tag that said Alpha Company and had their insignia on it, and on the back side it said the Army values.
As a combat veteran with the real 172 SBCBT Ft. Wainwright AK. I can tell you this is your regular active duty Infantry. The are performing Mount training. CQB, Room clearing. and such.
USA sent almost everyone of there fighter jets on training excersizes on 911. They also put inssurance against terrorist attacks on those towers the week before it happened. I really doubt they were trying to defend the towers on that day. Watch the loose change documentary
That almost reminded me of Ft Sam or Ft Sill (but all the shoot houses look exactly the same anyway lol) God, I hated wet-runs during training. Especially with my plt.

Cqb training is fun! I'm a tanker so I don't do it that much but because I'm in the 3ID I have go go through some infantry training, and it's fun sometimes! :)
Most likely training and trying to get a feel for shooting that close. Probably for door breaching with a shotgun. I was not a breacher so i didn't really get any real training in that.
Just so you know, the military was unable to prevent 9/11 from happening because the government failed to share the intelligence they got about possible 9/11 attacks. However, once 9/11 happened, our military scrambled to protect the entire nation from any possible further attacks. The military is protecting you,me, and the entire country from future attacks by dismantling terrorist groups in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Yemen.

Hi everybody. US Army and marines often uses shotguns in combat. What can I read about it? I interested in any info about shotguns in military operations, especially gunfight. Google can give big number of shit only and few useful links. Please help.
