One idea that I have had was Sam Fisher from Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell; but he might actually fit in SCP: Delta Green. But for an original character, it is built up from various character builds from the barbarian/viking type for his origin and backstory, and his further development is similar to various samurai classes and samurai adjusted archetypes. So, yeah, he is going to be extremely O.P.
He was supposed to be trained as one (to replace is dead brother), but his father convinced the Matron Mother to allow him to be a fighter. I know he had interactions with a mage (it's where he's panther comes from), but I can't remember how much they interacted. I do remember the one who trained him as a Ranger commented on Drizzt's lack of spellcasting
nice build but think I'd rather drop the last two ranger levels and put in monk giving an ASI / feat option at level 20 and picking one of the boon feats and getting evasion is nice too
Using Kensei to make all 3 of his weapons magical while emulating the defender ability, and Elemental Weapon to turn one of those into icingdeath is a really cool way to emulate magic items through game mechanics.

I was a kid when Nightbreed appeared on TV one day. I never saw the title or most of the movie; but Peloquin, Cabal, Kinski, and Decker stuck with me for years. I searched for years till 1 day I accidentally saw the movie poster, became a Clive Barker fanatic after that
Loved your Eversor and Vindicare assassin vids. Got me thinking of how one could make a Culexus in DnD. There really aren't many 'anti-magic' themed classes or abilities in 5e. My thoughts are going 3 levels into Soulknife Rogue for the psychic blades (could flavor them as the beams of null energy shot out by the Animus Speculum) and then jumping over to Long Death monk. If I'm reading it correctly, the psychic blades can count as monk weapons because they are simple weapons that lack the heavy and two-handed traits. At level 17 monk you get that Touch of the Long Death ability which is just too close to how Culexus kill their targets to pass up. Maybe a Yuan-ti for the magic resistance? Or Variant Human to grab Mage Slayer?
The Culexus is by far the hardest to do Assassins (I have builds for all temples). Gets even worse when you add in Blanks of the Culexus level causes extreme paranoia in normal people, while deactivating psyker abilities
@@63rdLegionGaming Gave Culexus some more thought. I think Oath of Ancients Paladin's Aura of Warding is essential. Maybe multiclass with a Warlock to get access to dispel magic, counterspell, and vampiric touch? Eldritch blast is similar to Animus Speculum. Looking forward to your video on it ;)
I like the Monk dips, never thought of that. I love this movie, its a part of the great fantasy films of the time. Sadly didn't get the deserved love until later. Its also a great "DnD" adventure, the story and world make a great setting for a campaign, and the characters are amazing examples of heroes, villains and archetypes. Plus, Billy Crystals healer is 100% a DM going ham.
