Full slab griding design is waste of money, because as you recommend/insist to fix Junction box at every 30mtr length of pipe, so in full slab griding we have to fix lot of junction boxes. I think griding patters can be opt for large warehouses but griding should consider with the size of concrete slab, To avoid damages at expansion joints usually thermocol strip/Liquid bitumine poured, we may lay porous pipe along expansion joints. Being installer I feel use of "L-connectors" should stop, because it resist free flow of chemical solution, hence maximum quantity doesn't reach inner laid pipe & soaked just near portion of junction box. Only "Perimeter looping" is best design for installation.
