There are three types of trombones today mostly two are the most popular, is the tenor and bass trombone, both in Bb flat and Alto starting to come back in production that’s in Eflat. The difference between tenor and bass is the timbre sound, bass has a more projected and powerful dept sound then a tenor. Both are in the same key and length of tubing on the Bflat side , but the bass has a bigger bore and broader bell size then the tenor. Also tenor can have one trigger to hit a full chromatic scale down to a pedal Bflat , where as a bass can have one rotor as like the tenor ,or another rotor to hit even lowe or another slide position with valve combinations. Hope that helps to none trombone/ brass players out there.😊
The original version by The Hollywood Trombones had contrabasses doubling the bass trombones down an octave. That would have been amazing. The additions to the original version made in this performance are quite clever. Good job, Jacob, both for the playing and the chart.
