When one of the first things he mentions is to ride as many horses as you can, I immediately stopped listening. I have a full-time job and am lucky enough to own one horse. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Ride what horses? When?

I think he is referring to the system that is used So if we are one rider with one horse then we should draw inspiration from riders and trainers who are successful with many different types of horses and who use methods that are compatible with learning theory ,horses physiology and the classical guidelines

Q: open vs, flexing poll. In reference to the Cronology of: Mouth, Neck, poll flex... Is the poll Open when the horse extends his neck "forward"... than the horse can move its neck...which can flex the neck??? Any idea how to better understanding/ explaining?

Lovely, lovely, lovely. I ALWAYS resisted " Dressage"...what I now know is "Modern dressage". In my 9th year of learning about horses and humans...so...still in my virgin-stage🤣. One thing I am interested in is: how to translate applying Classical Dressage training WITHOUT a bit?. Am convinced that CD CAN be applied without two bits ( or even one). Looking forward to any suggestion

This is how Major Dezo Szilagyi taught Dressage when no one even understood the word. Thank you, thank you, thank you to the horse, the skilled rider, and PKarl for this excellence of instruction.

He is forgetting The thing which impact The horse on The Middle. The rider. A bad rider Who lifts up its head and bumps on its back.

And for our further discussion, may we consider that “forward” is a condition of willingness, NOT VELOCITY. This is why “HALT” is a FORWARD TRANSITION.

To bring the horse to the vertical you need to extend the neck-- Cudos! The horse extending his neck as the final part of collection was first proposed as a completion of a gymnastic move by Dr. Deb Bennet in the mid 1980's, to my knowledge. She should be acknowledged for her pioneering scientific research. best Bruce Peek

Thank God we're not in the 90's and there's much more information out there ... PK is a good searcher, but his conclusions are limited. Everything comes from behind, the movement of the hind. Everything else is common sense and sensitivity.

Great introduction/overview to true classical training/proper biomechanics. All of this material is covered in his book "Twisted Truths of Modern Dressage", which is now out of print unfortunately (grab a copy if you can find one!! They do show up once in a while..) so this is a good way to get an intro to the work.

A rider with such limited technique should not be riding in a double bridle. The coarseness and roughness of the rein aids makes for painful viewing. Should be teaching her how to ride effectively and with good rider bio mechanics, otherwise its shows no concern for the horse, and also upsets any chance of her knowing how to keep a horse balanced. The Weymouth rein should not be held over the index finger.

hästar öppnar munnen när de får ont inne i munnen och nu döljer ju när ni har två nosgrimmor eller fler för att inte visa att hästen får ont av bett därför är det "okej" att dra så mycket man vill i hästens mun

so that means reverse : dont use your legs and the horse has Impulse .dont use your hands and the horse is in balance.
