Years ago before any club "managed" this water it contained carp to 35lb and in one night myself and a friend fishing caught over 300 tench up to 9lb and my mate on the next swim over a hundred Crucians up to 4lb. It was without doubt the best water I have ever fished. Since warrington took over there are not many tench caught as it has been massively overstocked with carp with destroyed mouths. Carp wreck Tench spawning at high stocking levels. Also over stocking reduces growth rates. It is the most shocking case of fisheries mismanagement I have ever witnessed in all my years.
The barges were constructed of concrete during WW2 because steel was in short supply. They have no scrap value, - hence being dumped in the Lymm River. They were used for lighterage and storage of cargoes, to help speed up the turn-round of ships, - nothing whatever to do with night soil or Boysnope Wharf!
The barges were used for Taking Night soil from Boynope Wharf Irlam along the Ship canal to be unloaded in the Mersey estuary. They are a remaining bit of Manchester History.
Nice. Great colours and decent FPV range by the look of it. I've cased that place out too as it's only down the road. Brave going beyond easy recovery if something goes wrong. We'll have to hook up for some flying. I'll give my son my contact details to pass to your daughter. I think they still go to the same school.
Great i have same cam, check out my vids on here Woolston park flying, the one were your over the low cloud is great looks like your at 20,000 feet !! Thanks for details. Just ordered a Phoenix 2000 but thinking now is that too big for Woolston park !!
I think ive seen you flying a few times, yes i was speaking to a friend recently and they told me the same info re the kids. No its not FPV just going as high as my eye sight permits. Ive been looking into FPV but haven't found a decent low price basic system that offers good quality video they all seem to have fairly limited range before the signal fades....unless you go mega illegal and spend about £500 but im always looking!!
I occassionally fly RC planes in Woolston Park too (check out my channel)...turns out my son and your daughter are in the same class! Out of interest are you flying FPV or do you just have good eye sight?
mine did find out and now my spending is monitored, saying that I havent changed the spec of the 450 because i'm very happy with its performance, just started to include about 4/5 degrees of negative pitch to bring it down faster whilst keeping the revs high makes for a few first jittery flights but i'm now happier to take it much higher ie above the house and plan to put a small flycam on soon......errrr because i can, and thats something the wife will never understand.
saying all the above your flying is very good and i dont think you can grumble.if you put you heli in the hands of someone who has never flown one before they would crash it within 5 seconds
thanks for the comment but I'm still very much learning, the gyro and servo make it alot easier. the only tip I can give is to practice on the simulator, I use aerofly pro deluxe, and constantly practice nose in flying i.e the nose towards you. once you can do this then try it on the heli. the thing is dont panic as i did the first few times. when you turn it let the heli settle then give it small corrections, then just keep doing it over and over.also use a bigger space than in your vid.
