Thanks man! Definitely learned some things. Wish it wasn't so late, watching this. I wanna try this stuff right now, damn it. I'm looking forward to it! Thanks again 😊
Hello sir, would you be able to check whether the units can be change on an Elantra N? I was hoping to see if they could but your video did not cover it; these should be under Settings -> General -> Units, I'm interested in importing the car over to the EU but I'm not sure if I can change Miles for Kilometers, Fahrenheit for Celsius and mpg to liters/100kmh. I guess time format is less of a priority for me.
Yeah man, sorry got a new job and doing a lot of volunteer work with my church and just have not found any time to do any more videos. I'm hoping maybe I can pick it back up next year, but the biggest issue is I just don't have time to edit.
Oh, that’s great if you want to I could possibly edit a couple videos for you for free I do have some professional editing software that really wants to be used
You can change the car modes on the fly anytime you want. The car will always start in normal mode. I would just suggest not flooring it and changing the mode while you're doing that, but you can certainly be in motion.
What are your daily driving comfort impressions? Obviously in the softest mode on suspension do you still think it's very stiff as other people mention?
Hi. Great review. Did you say just the front partial of ppf is 600-1000? Just trying to figure out how much I’m going to have pay up for ppf or coating. As well all season tires living in Delaware.
@@thetorquedork5857 dang. Yea surprised no one makes a bigger deal about it. Kinda sucks to have to get ppf right away for 2-3 if you do the whole car. Thx for the feedback!
I bought an Elantra N sight unseen and watched this video while I waited for it to come in. Thanks to this I just picked it up and already know what's what's, thanks
literally the same power train and drive train as all the other Ns except has a slightly larger compressor and turbine wheel from the veloster n but a tad bit heavier
Thank you for the great video. You speak so well. I'm living in Korea and I'm thinking about buying one with a manual gearbox when Hyundai removes the weird- and even stupid-looking triangles from the body. Do you think it's okay to drive this car for a daily commute of some 30 miles? I'm interested only in manual. I'm 50 years old and worried about the stiff suspension and the seats most.
The suspension is totally fine in normal mode. You can even drive in N mode and lighten the suspension all of the way. This is the perfect balance between a commuter car and bad ass track car.
I’m torn on theses latest surprise performance/daily drivers. The k edition civic si is actually a great car with many of those sought-after fun car attributes. However, that it was actually “detuned” has really bothered me. Everything about the N gets my midlife crisis juices flowing! My only concern is the mpg (I wish I didn’t care about that but it does really bother me). Do you feel that to be an issue, or not such a big adjustment from a budget perspective?
Mpg is great when you want it to be. If I drive it super hard in N mode I get about 19-20. If I drive it in normal mode and really pay attention to how I drive I can average about 34. That is damn good for a car that is this much fun.
hey nice review, i respect your opinion on the cons. personally brake dust doesnt bother me since i live in canada and our cars get dirty regardless. as for the wheels i usually swap oem for aftermarket anyway. more options would have been nice. what bothers me the most is that the rear seats are not split in half so if you wanted to carry something long and had a 3rd passenger, you cant do that, seems like a simple thing they couldve added on.
Ya understood, I assume most people are using this as a secondary vehicle and not their main hauler. That will certainly be a bigger issue if it is your primary driver
Honestly wanting an Elantra N so so bad. I'm coming from a 2016 Veloster Turbo, which has the same 1.6LT engine as your forte did. I'm debating between the Elantra N and Veloster N tho.. i don't really know
What's your advice for breaking in these cars? I heard the old 600 miles but should you wait till your first oil change before putting in the heavy foot?
I have a white one I've had since Saturday, and the lock button works for me, but I've found that I do have to hold my finger there for a full second before it reacts to my finger being there. I'm not sure if that's so people don't accidentally lock it by slightly brushing up against it or what, but you may want to try placing a thumb or index finger there and just holding it for a second or two and then see if it reacts.
It is working fine once I got the hang of it but certainly not the best one I have used on a car. The driver side handle seems loose too so that may be causing some issue. Will have to have it looked at.
