I have no lights coming but, nevertheless my horn stopped working. What are the other things that might prevent horn from working on my 2011 Tacoma? TIA
I'd check the fuse first. I'm not a mechanic, and I'm not very handy with electrical issues. Here is what ChatGPT says: There are several possible reasons why the horn might not be working on a 2011 Toyota Tacoma, aside from the clock spring. Here are some common issues to check: 1. **Horn Fuse**: Check the horn fuse in the fuse box. If the fuse is blown, the horn will not work. 2. **Horn Relay**: The horn relay could be faulty. Relays can sometimes fail and prevent the horn from operating. 3. **Horn Button**: The horn button in the steering wheel might be faulty or have a poor connection. 4. **Horn Itself**: The horn unit itself could be defective. Horns can fail over time due to exposure to the elements or internal issues. 5. **Wiring and Connections**: Inspect the wiring and connections related to the horn circuit. Corroded or loose connections can prevent the horn from functioning. 6. **Clock Spring**: Although you mentioned no lights are coming on, the clock spring in the steering column can still be a potential issue as it provides the electrical connection to the horn button. It would be beneficial to check these components systematically to diagnose the issue accurately.
Dealer replaced mine and it is still having a problem. They said the new parts are defective. So I have paid for the repair and still do not have it working properly.
Why are the factory clock springs 10 times more expensive than brand new EBay aftermarket clock springs? How do I know which aftermarket device to purchase
eBay has an option at the top of the item's page that says, "Check if this part fits your vehicle" This is the part that I purchased for my 2011 Tacoma: "OEM Spiral Cable Clock Spring Fit for TOYOTA LEXUS Tacoma Avalon 84306-0E010" www.ebay.com/itm/OEM-Spiral-Cable-Clock-Spring-Fit-for-TOYOTA-LEXUS-Tacoma-Avalon-84306-0E010/264389072096?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649
Yeah that part he's showing is called the steering angle sensor. The reason he got the lights bc this sensor gives communication from the steering wheel to the wheels, abs, and any other component related to steering
I have this exact laptop seems like over 5 years and it's still chumming along albeit with a very noisy fan. Going to attempt changing it when my fan arrives from ebay. Thanks for this. Edit: Got the fan and did the job without screwing it up. I'm proud of myself! Nice to have a quiet laptop again.
@@WantBadtime noisy fan usually means you have a dirty vent, the inlet sucks in air to cool the CPU, if you keep it on carpets, beds it'll clog up the outlet and prevent the fan from properly pushing out the heat so it'll get loud because the heat is not getting displaced, it'll struggle to push out the heat, cleaning the vent and fan usually does the trick, no need to replace the fan, unless it has been working too hard for an extended period of time and the bearing has failed,
Slow slow and slow, improved by installing another 4GB memory. Still slow. Oh! hinges break. In time it will fail. This is HP garbage laptop. You get what you paid for. Both my college kids bought this in Feb. 2017 at Best Buy on sale. Lasted about 9 months. Trash laptop. Now they have 2019 Acer Predator Helios 300 i7-9750H with RTX 2060 and a Lenovo Y540. If you spend more than $1,000 you be much happier and have a long lasting laptop. HP products are trash. HP 15 ba009dx Brian your review is bogus. Should tell people not to buy as it is a D minus for less than a Dummy or F for only a Fool would buy this.
The processor and graphics are soldered to the MoBo. The only upgrades you can do relatively easily to my understanding are to increase ram to 16 GB and swap out the HDD for a SSD.
Glad I found this video!! I got this laptop for 210 at best buy too. It has served me well but I am becoming impatient. I am considering upgrading the ram but the real bottleneck seems to be the hard drive. I want to install an SSD. Do you have any experience with this in this laptop? Did you at least happen to notice if it looked difficult while upgrading the ram? Thanks
I was able to upgrade my RAM yesterday using this video. While my laptop was open I made sure to take a detailed look at it and I must say that replacing a hard drive should be very straight forward.
Thank you, I have to replace a hard disk. You showed in your video how to open the laptop, and where the HD is located. Very helpful video!!! God Bless You!!!!
what card did you install? I have the same laptop and want to order more ram (8gb ddr3l 1600 sdram) but all im seeing is 8gb 8GB DDR3L 1600MHz PC3L-12800 Non ECC Unbuffered and 12800 DDR3L-1600 SODIMM for Notebooks [PN: 693374-001 / 693374-005]. Are they all the same or is it more particular?
Thanks for the the video I all so have the same model hp 15-ba009dx and I all so need to speed it thinking of putting in and 8g ram with the for my bother bring it for me from the United States I'm from Trinidad and Tobago
Outstanding Innovation it should be the same as removing the hard drive from other laptops. I would just follow these steps to get it open and then view another video on removing a hard drive. I haven't done it before, but I'm assuming it comes out fairly easily
Hello, I bought this same laptop at Best Buy. We have a RU-vid channel and I bought because I was on a budget and wanted something to edit RU-vid videos. It is having a hard time editing video stock with 500gb hd and 4gb of ram. Do you think 8gb total would fix this issue? Or at least help? Thanks
I bought this laptop on a black friday deal, i'm thinking 8gb ram, SSD, and windows 10 LTSB will have it zooming. I'm pretty sure the manufactures add a bunch of junk to slow down laptops so customers will come back and buy again therefore a clean install is a must.
Here's the link to the RAM I purchased on Amazon: a.co/fNTAOsq I used crucial.com to determine which upgrades were compatible: www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-upgrade-for/HP-Compaq/hp-15-ba009dx
I added 8GB for a total of 12. My laptop is super fast now. Here is the link for the exact memory chip I purchased: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006YG8X9Y/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I assume CSGO is a game, so yes, a memory upgrade would probably make it faster. I Googled "CSGO ram requirement," and it says the game uses 2 GB of RAM.
Yes, if you want to play games on this laptop. But I wouldn't use this as a gaming PC in the first place; it just doesn't have the specs. Ask an expert at a store for recommendations on what you need.
i bought this for college since it was on sale for $200 at my local best buy and i was thinking about doing the same upgrade to mine but do you know if it voids the warranty?
