d-line struggling with western wash zone on O?.. sounds like a common problem in ultimate ... with d-line not getting enough offensive touches.. (aka too specialized)... this is something Matt Tsang (us national team coach) touched upon recently in another podcast..
not that it's all her fault, but 99 on Tufts was pretty much not playing defense the entire point. after her pull she's extremely late allowing her mark to get a decent gainer with power position in the centre of the field. for the rest of the point she's really not applying any defensive pressure, until her defender easily runs past her to get to the open side, then gives up an easy around break throw that starts the cascade of throws on the break side for the score. maybe shes fatigued, or more of an offensive player but i bet there were a few players on the sideline able to give a bit more effort
@@flyingdics1 if we're clogging the force side and they get off a dump-swing, we need everybody to overcommit to the seal except for the poacher. We cannot let this be the way we lose.
7:08, how not to throw upwind 8:51, opportunity created here bc blue shorts in white doesn't get picked up by either of the dark players on the left. Dark in blue sleeves is aggro switchy, but the other dark player is more person to person. There's just a brief moment where it's ambiguous who should switch, so no one takes him and neither jump in front of the goal. (his 10:54 throwaway... lol)
