When I saw this for the first time, I literally burst into tears. This is an amazing love letter to Disney's 100 year legacy. Thank you Walt, you have created so many characters and made so many generations of people happy. You have proved that when you wish upon a star, you're dreams can indeed come true. Walter Elias Disney: December 5, 1901, December 15, 1966.
I genuinely felt uncomfortable Genie was there and they were using Robin Williams' voice. They know he can't give consent, and, unless his family did, they're abusing that.
I'm always crying because we're grown up now. :( Being a kid was fantastic. Being an adult is horrible. Work-related stresses (too many to list), fear of the future, climate change, growing old and either losing your marbles or independence, and, knowing one day your parents are going to die.
What's most disappointing about this short is it clearly shows that the magic of Disney is still alive and well, but they haven't been able to capture it for many years now. I hope this current downturn gives Disney the kick in the pants it needs to start another Golden age of animated movies, much like their previous downturn did.

This film was honestly really good. Just going back and seeing all the films so far that Disney has made. It really shows how some stories can begin with a "once upon a time" or even wishing on a ⭐✨.
