Are you referring to a can of varnish? It may not say satin vs gloss on the can - sometimes I need to read the product description online to find out the gloss level. For example, this one says high gloss finish in the description www.jerrysartarama.com/krylon-artist-kamar-varnish-spray-11oz-34756?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwzIK1BhAuEiwAHQmU3sfpQcChXPjSfI_QEuFxNSI6bVcCFPM8rld9ndzXku88eNIHDGYAJhoCzX4QAvD_BwE
@@ThePaintingStoof yeah the can , you tagged it as (satin) in the list of where to buy the products. it’s ok, I found out on a website it’s regarded as satin
I love this painting in the demonstration. I hope you don’t mind. I used it for one of my classes preferred them to your website your RU-vid channel fantastic. I learned a lot from it.
Love your painting! Thank you for doing a talking tutorial, I am a beginner in Acrylic Painting and I usually do Watercolor, but I've been painting little murals on my Camper's Kitchen cabinets and I wanted to do a sunflower field. I have a hard time following tutorials where the painter does not talk and just paints. I really appreciate you writing down all of the colors in the description that you used and naming them as you mix your colors. Your tutorial is thorough and easy to follow. 😊
This was SO helpful to me, especially the color blending. thank you so much for sharing this video with us all. question: what colors did you use to make that peachy sky color for the hilited clouds? Also, is there a way, if you have to stop painting before you've used up the paint on your palette, that you can save that paint for later? Would it work to put it in the freezer?
I believe I talk about colors for that at 12:39 - but you would definitely want to mix in some flesh tint/light pink color, some yellow, and maybe a tiny dab of cadmium red light. I personally just pitch away acrylic paints that don't get used up when I put them on my palette. You could preserve them a bit longer if you put a sheet of plastic wrap over them, then keep them in a plastic sealed storage container (i.e. a reusable storage container with lid). I would not put acrylic paint in freezer.
Very nice work. I am also a realistic artist, I like to play around with color and surrealism a lot. Tried out some abstract but I don’t think I understand it enough to be called an abstract painter lol. I just watched your 2022 class on how to make a living off of your work and it was just what I had been searching for, for many months. Thank you for the clear explanation on each of the websites, places, and audiences on how you are able to make a living doing what you love. I have been an artist since I could pick up a crayon as a kid but I never thought about making it my full time job. I have tried many other things for “work”and I just can’t seem to be happy with anything else but painting. You have made it possible to not be deemed a “starving artist” forever, so thanks for the class. Can’t wait to see more of your videos!
Your video came up on my RU-vid feed and I watched it. Impressive! I enjoyed how you first painted the background and then progressed to painting the lemons and leaves. Thanks! Cesar

I wish I could add a picture, because I did this painting a few days ago, and as a beginner, I felt very proud of how it turned out, thank you for showing me how to do it! It was fun and helped with my need for a creative outlet!

To each their own 😊 - coming from an artist with 20 years of experience and a BA in Studio arts. As you know, art is subjective and each viewer has their own opinion. Thanks for sharing yours. All of my clients book me because they love the level of detail, from their figures to the intricate florals and architecture or landscape behind them. 😄
