Мне кажется, что он очень скромный, честный и добрый парень, настоящий Труженик и Христианин. И это помимо очевидного для всех музыкального Гения!❤

How did you find this video? May it be possible to find it in a better quality? Thanks, this is a legendary recording.

Michelangeli was an incredible performer and musician. But i'm amazed that no one listener has the suspect that the video is runnig faster. The sonata is an exercise , indeed, and is written with the indication Allegro for the tempo. Is enough observe the hands ande the keys and the sound to perceive that the video is accelerated. The hands plays correctly in Si or B minor on the keyboard but the sound is in Do or B minor If you adjust the pitch at the original key, (with Audacity or a simple audio application) you got the real time of Michelangeli's execution. H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E. In Scarlatti's times Allegro did not mean speed but moos. This is a massacre. A l'epoque de Scarlatti Allegro ne siginfiait pas un Tempo mais une atmosphere , un caractere. Quelle horreur.

Technically admirable but way too fast in my opinion. This exagerated velocity takes away all the beauty from this piece.

When this was shown in "the art of piano" I thought I could do this, as K27 is not as brutal as K24, and I did play Chopin 10 2 at speed, but the clarity and eveness at this speed is very, very difficult indeed!

Why does this label the piece as by Scriabin? This is Etincelles by Moszkowski.

To be frank, it's not an impressive transcription at all. Some of his well-known transcriptions, like the Turkish March, Italian Polka, Bizet's Spanish Waltz, and this piece, clearly mimic and expand on Horowitz's ideas. However, they add far too many unnecessary and excessive ornaments. From my perspective, as someone who studies both classical and jazz, no matter how many notes you add and play them flawlessly, it doesn't come close to being captivating music. Specifically, for instance, the development from 6:10 feels musically unnecessary and overly exaggerated. Moreover, its voicing and rhythm are too simplistic, making it feel very bland. His Italian Polka, unfortunately, is bland for the same reasons. Of course, I acknowledge that Volodos' mechanical playing technique is nearly the best in the world, rivaling even the likes of Jesus Molina. I wish he would provide truly captivating music.

Il filmato è leggermente accelerato. Lo si vede dal movimento delle mani e anche dal suono , il pianoforte sembra accordato di quasi un semitono eccedente.
