Not bike related but I've never heard the Phrase "Oh My Days !" which Anna uses quite a lot so I looked it up and it's actually from the eighteen hundreds but has remained relatively rare until the twenty-first century and especially associated with its use in Multicultural London English - I found that interesting.

Wait! Why in the world people buy non branded parts? When in comes to cycling and mountain biking I never buy items unless they are from a bike shop. I don’t even buy from eBay. Well pinkbike or pro closet are a good source for used parts. Safety is first! I do agree buying second hand with a reputable brand. Or even go to your local bike shop, often times, you will be surprised, other people let the shop know if anyone is looking for parts or even a used bike to connect them with them. This is why it is important to get to know your local bike shops.

I thought it was really funny how the mechanic seemed only semi-interested in the beginning but got really into it once he saw how bad the fork really was :P

It's at the point now where you have to have at least five or six different bikes to be satisfied in all situations. The only bike I have no use for is a dual suspension bicycle.

This channel is full of snobs. It's like they were born on 10k pounds bikes... plus, when I hear this blonde chick who presumably it's a mtb expert, I want to throw my bike from the 10th floor and begin another hobby. Even her posture while riding the bike seems nooby. And she gives advices.. 😂

It resembles an RS-1, but sans any badging or stickers, as the fork is too elemental even for the manufacturer to take the time to badge it. This product, however, falls along the business model of similar things shipped from overseas, being in my experience the overseas action camera. Part of the business model is to present something so blatantly cheap and copied but enticing in price - enough so that the consumer is tempted to try it "once." If they get enough customers to try it once, there is no need to improve or regard quality as something desirable. And the fact that they are overseas in an insular country makes it hard to retaliate. My recommendation is don't jump at the price, but rather take the time to review this or similar products on the internet. And ask yourselves, even at this tempting price, is it worth it?

The steerer tube was "too thick to go in" because of the pipe cutter. Those leave a ridge where they've pushed material out of the way; the effect is probably more pronounced with cheap aluminum. A guide and a hacksaw leave a better cut.

Great content here and hopefully will save people from hurting themselves running these things. There's some off branded things you can get off aliexpress that won't cause you a trip to the hospital like a mud guard or a saddle. Some of them can be quite good for the price. But when you're getting into actual components where their failure can cause an injury, no thanks.

I had my inner tube replaced today and I got the people at the shop to put it on cause why not and I asked if my tyres are fine they said yeah I start riding for about an hour and guess what my tyre ripped. I simply don’t trust bike shop people anymore.

This fork looks disturbingly close to the Wren fork. I got one recently and its terrible. So much so I felt it was unsafe and got a fox. It basically never worked right no matter what I tried. Mine had keyed rails so you cant spin each side around like this one, but that clearly is also why the suspension basically doesnt work at all, no sensitivity, anytime your turning it super doesnt work cause its jammed up by the badly cut and designed key. The flex is there, not as bad but significant enough to make the ride weird. It was not a fun few weeks riding on it. I felt it was genuinely unsafe to use.

These videos would be so much better if you'd avoid the crap music every time one of your presenters gets on a bike. What's wrong with the sound of tyres on ground? I'd spend a bit more on RockShox Domain but thanks for the interesting video.

'everyone' in America... the rest of the world tend to have the front brake on the same side as a motorcycle, because, consistency.
@dvs620
@dvs620 15 часов назад
@@jmo2752 And yet, the rotors and clips are on the left side, with the clip being at the front of the fork. Doesn't seem ideal to have the cable crossing over the tire when you can keep it to the side, away from the tire. 🤔

The brand snobbery is unbelievable on this channel
@remyrunner9051
@remyrunner9051 16 часов назад
Snobbery because they are sub par? I bought two sets of forks off of Ali Express a couple years ago, just to see if I could save $ on lower end builds I was doing for my kids' bikes and they both lasted a few hours of riding before crapping out. One locked out and the other had the rebound cartridge break, turning it into a pogo stick with a healthy knock on top out. Wasted a couple hundred bucks that should've been used to buy a name brand. Guess that makes me a snob too?
@Sheppy99
@Sheppy99 15 часов назад
Brand snobbery? I wouldn't even classify that fork as a brand. lol. And I'd say it's fair game to shit on a product that's quite frankly dangerous! It's not as if they're taking an entry level suntour which is safe but lacking in performance due to it's price and making fun of it.

Obviously you didn't get to use forks in 1991 with less than an inch travel. The only elastomer forks were just fine but the air forks sucked. One time I rode my bike twenty-five miles back with a shock blown and all the way down After that I used shocks that were air on one side and elastomer on the other.

3 week ago, bought a beautiful pair of 2016 Fox 36 performance, from eBay perfect condition, had a full service history too ..... £135 open auction. Also bought a pair of weight weeny Specialised future shock carbon forks (am building my 5' nothing daughter her 1st proper XC bike) they cost me £80ish ........... Everyone just needs to drop the industry imparted need for retail therapy. A proper old git me, been riding since early 80s MTBs have always had stupid priced end of the market, just learn to ignore it. Simple
