Hi, I'm Cliff and welcome to my page. I am a session bass player who specialises in remote or studio recording's and live performances for Artists, Producers and Labels alike. Based in the county of Essex in the UK, I have over 40 years experience of recording and live performances in various genres of music. I offer a variety of playing styles & tones from a beautiful 'Jamerson' style Motown & Soul sound, through to a funky 'Mark King' slap bass style or even a fretless bass (if a 'Pino' style is preferred). I'm also proficient in playing upright bass, so maybe a smoother Jazz style is what your track needs or even a 50's Rock n' Roll or Rockabilly slap bass is the order of the day. So if you need a versatile bass player who can deliver on time, please feel free to contact me, as my goal is to provide quality bass tracks that both musically and sonically contribute to your music.
I also run a Recording, Mix & Mastering Studio. You send me your Tracks and I'll Mix & Master them.

Thank you @metalthrea5797... This bass is fitted wih a really old set of Elite 40 - 100 Round wounds. Their very lite strings and not really correct for a fretless, but (because their so old) they play like flats.
I feel I have to ask which version this is because some of the lyrics are missing from the version I remember. After 20 seconds in I recall the following was also included: 'Then I appear out of the day, but you just seem to move away, but I don't think that you will move tonight, tonight, tonight, tonight'. Then the song goes into the chorus. Perhaps I am mistaken, but it certainly appeared on one of the two versions I remember from the 7 inch. (Either in the Club Mix or the original version). [Sadly I don't have the record any longer, or any recording of it, so I can't be sure]. Thanks.
Hi @plan7a - The version you are talking about is the 'Club Mix' ... This is the Original Radio edit ... I seem to remember the mix engineer splicing and dropping pieces of tape all over the studio's control room floor, much to our horror lol. This Radio Edit was the A side with the Club Mix on the B side of the single. Regards Cliff
I saw the Mick Karn one and now this. I really like these honest, unpretentious presentations, just being shown by a pro what's what without any nonsense. This many views and only that many subs, doesn't make sense.
@@cliffordmacdonald2663 True. We did have some amazing times. Lifetime memories my friend. Look after yourself. Stay safe and thanks for putting this stuff out there for people to hear!
nice! do you typically perform unaccompanied or sometimes do you record beside many more people?? likewise, I oftentimes can play percussion and play tracks at video jams using bandhub, could you join me to get together in bandhub :)
