I thought this was going to be a brutal repair just by looking at the laptop, but it's even worse than I had thought it would be. Your video is great though and breaks down the process into something I might be able manage. Thanks!
I had my s23 ultra screen replacement yesterday but the screen edge not the same as before but it works perfectly after repair. Im thinking much about the edge… 😢
Hey this is a great and helpful video,, and i wanted to ask couple quick questions. I recently bought a used MacBook that has a similar layout as shown in the video but it is in Spanish. I was wondering if just switching the top case to english functions. Do all the keys work properly and no system issue? I have a MacBook air M1 2020 (a2337), do you think switching the top case on this works?
Hi, I've Macbook Pro 13 - Inch M1, 2020. SInce one week I was facing unexpected issue like Key A and D won't worked. If I try to press multiple times like once in 10 time it works. What would be the possible solutions for it. How much cost it? Is it any settings problems or keyboard failure?
Hello! For your unit it is possible to replace just the keyboard, but due to the touch bar and the associated difficulty that it brings, we recommend just replacing the entire top case assembly. We have the top case available here : tekdep.com/product/13-macbook-pro-2020-gray-palmrest-top-case-keyboardtouch-bar-a2338-a2289/ and the keyboard only here : tekdep.com/product/replacement-keyboard-for-2020-apple-macbook-pro-retina-13-a2338-emc-3578/ If you interested in having us complete your repair, we offer mail in repair services here : tekdep.com/valettek/
I do not think that the cable(s) that run to and from the LCD to the motherboard are the same. The LCD(s) themselves may have the same pin count and be the same size, but the cables maybe wired differently. I would say no, but I am not 100% for sure as no one has attempted this.
You totally can, but it is not necessary. The replacement of the display cable would require the removal of the logic board. Additionally the LCDVS Display cable does not often fail or need to be replaced, so replacing it is not needed in most cases.
1st you should use speecho more. 1st you do not mention the lid needs to be slid back after you remove the screws. You do not show removing the plastic cover over the battery screw. People need to hear what they are doning.
Thank you for the feedback! This was one of our very first videos, and we are constantly looking to improve. We hope our newer content, or our future content, can better serve you. We will remake this video ASAP and link it in the comments for you incase you need to reference a teardown of this unit!
Hi i am having trouble with me my battery on my s23 ultra do i have to do a full reset before i get a new battery fited as Samsung are saying i have to can anyone help me please
I broke my plastic spunger I think that is what it's called, trying to get a battery out even after alcohol at my job. I was too afraid to use that metal one you are using because I didn't want to poke the battery and make an early 4th of July celebration. I've done so many of these phones, luckily the new part comes with a new battery so I don't have to worry about it. And yes when I first started I did make that mistake with the sim card still in.
Very good! I was worried about the 'light sensor' being a hidden camera, which would make me sell it right away. Also, the charging is so slow it makes me really mad sometimes. Other than that, the camera is great and it's a very solid and (now) affordable phone.
My did a screen repair on my A14 5G which was somewhat successful. Doing so created a new issue "check your charger connection" which happens with all available chargers, including ones that previously worked fine for this device. I came to this video to see if I could learn something and I'm wondering if replacing my charging port would help. I've taken it all apart again to check all connections and it seems fine. Any ideas what I'm missing?
Is it possible to replace the battery without taking out the motherboard ? It seems that the battery cable just slipped under the mother board, not glued. Thankyou.
It maybe possible, but I would not recommend it. The Battery flex cable runs pretty far under the logic board, and the battery management flex cable runs along the left side of the battery and to the daughter board that is really far under the logic board as well. Just to be safe and have the easiest access, I would suggest removing the logic board completely even though it will be very time consuming and not very fun.
Simply removing the bottom case, and using an ESD safe brush to clean off the fan, the inside of the fan, and the heatsink area where the fan exhausts air into. Cleaning this area should quiet down your unit pretty good!
Hello Friend, I replaced my s23 display but after the refresh rate of the screen feels like 30hz. It is a 60hz display but really not a bad quality. What can I do ?
Apple uses a custom proprietary interface on all of their SSDs. It is similar to M.2 interface, but is keyed differently (Not your typical PC B or B+M Keys). As far as I am aware there isn't an official name for this interface from apple.
