Yes! They are behind, but state they plan on catching up quickly. That's why they moved all their book shipping out of the US back to Australia because container ships and customs at the Port of Los Angeles were taking too long. They weren't always behind when I first started my subscription with them so I'm going to give them a chance.
Arcane books are so gorgeous. Can't wait to get off the waitlist but I'm not holding my breath. I think Arcane usually has winning designs overall from all the books I have seen previously. But Fabled Co has such fun foiling and bright digital edges-also I can get them easier haha. There is a new company in Australia Bookish and Spice which is doing some cool special edition book boxes for fantasy romance and dark romance. The designs so far have been awesome with lots of commissioned character art. They are cheaper for me than fabled too which is a plus. Always enjoy the vids :)
Leia Stone is one of my favorite authors! She doesn't really write spice alot though so just a heads up. I will say I got this box as well and they didn't do endpapers at all or character art in the front near the signed page like they do with everyother SE monthly box. I just feel like lately they've gotten lazy or forget things/details. I'm really bummed about it! My Bargainer set I got from them the foiled sprayed edges are messed up. All they did was tell me to return them for a refund. No apologies whatsoever and said they couldn't replace my copies. I'm not happy with Arcane right now at all.
Yes! I thought the artwork was just ok in this one. They’ve done way better in the past. I have an unboxing for The Bargainer series coming up, but I know what you’re talking about. Initially I thought I was imagining it so I didn’t mention it in the video. I hope they step it up!
I placed my first Lit Haven purchase last month. They're working with a new printer, so the edges will now be digital and available to all. They're hoping that shipping times will be reduced because of it. I love that their boxes all match up with the book that's being delivered.
The vellum overlay is actually bound inside the book itself. It's another gorgeous art piece. Hopefully you noticed it later lol! Thank you for this video!
I also hope they do the second flame and sparrow book. It is beautiful. They are slowly catching up.... I just got my email that they have sent February's books and I'm so excited to get a signed Tessonja Odette book. The problem is it costs so much to ship any other sub boxes to new zealand :(
You’re so right. Fabled does have a great variety they offer and I think they set themselves apart with a good selection of books. I just got my February box! 😁
Hi! It is $35 plus shipping. They ship via media mail which for me was $6. Not bad considering how expensive regular hardcover books are. Definitely more affordable than other boxes.
They took about 2-3 weeks shipped from Australia to the US, but they just opened a facility in the US so I’m hoping it will be much faster going forward. 🙂
I'm still waiting for my Oct box but I agree the exterior looks beautiful. The guys looked so weird to me. I was kind of hoping they'd fix that but they didn't. I skipped the Spanish Love Deception box and I was so glad I did when I saw the cover for it. In my opinion the design for that wasn't up to the same standard for their special editions. It looked so cheap
Mystic was the longest waitlist I’ve been on. It was six months at the time, but now it has gotten longer. It could be anywhere from 9 to 12 months depending on how many spots they open up at a time. I’d advise getting on as soon as you can!
Such a shame they didnt give you a good response :( the book looks beautiful but if you have a bad experience there are so many companies out there and so many starting up that it isnt acceptable anymore. I did see this and was tempted but shipping to NZ makes me very picky with my subs. Great video as always :)
Thanks! Yeah, I’ll see how it goes the remainder of the year. I do like to read my special editions too so if they’re all going to be this huge I may have to cancel for that reason as well.
I bought a special paper punch from Michael’s. I believe it is called the We R Makers Planner Punch. It has different punches for different journal bindings.

These are so gorgeous! I've seen pictures but kept waiting for your unboxing video. I actually finally got off the waitlist after 6 months my first box will be the Dec/Jan Amelia Hutchins one. Does the box arrive in just the black Arcane Society box or inside another plain box?

The definitions can vary, but the age of the protagonist is the main factor. So ages 15 to 19 might be YA and focus more on teenage problems, like falling in love for the first time and high school drama. Adult books have more adult problems and tend to have open door, descriptive love scenes.

These look so good! I like the dust jackets because yea I'm one of the ppl that didn't care for the cover of book 1😅. I'm hoping to get a set when the spares or scratch and dents go on sale. 🤞 I'm fast enough

Get on the Mystic waitlist now. It’s very long and can take up to a year. Otherwise you can look for people selling them secondhand but be prepared to pay an arm and a leg for them. 😬 I’ve found a few editions on Facebook buy sell trade book groups for special book box editions.
One of these days I’ll make time to actually read a book again. Because I’m a driver by trade I rely heavily upon audiobooks. Currently going through the Red Rising series by Pierce Browns.
I'm so jealous. I'm on the waitlist for Arcane Society and I've got a long wait to finally be offered a subscription spot. Really enjoyed the video and how you broke everything down. Especially since some of these are subscriptions I'm actively looking into.
I’ve read this whole Bonded series and these are gorgeous! There’s a reason for the flowers (the main female character is named after a flower) & there is a reason for the dark eyes on the back, stunning!
