This explains my childhood we had a Chevy and we went all over when we had a vacation so this commercial which I've always loved is my childhood family vacation.

I grew up hearing this song. Combining the central mythologies of the USA: Freedom, the open land, adventure, the automobile. Of course, the reality is that forced automobile dependency means people spend a lot more time stuck in suburban sprawl traffic than they do seeing the Rockies.

I have a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS in Gran Turismo 7 and it has the Heartbeat of America slogan on the license plate. Brilliant car, and one of many that Chevrolet produced back then at that. Look at the company today as a comparison. The Malibu is going away soon, the Camaro has disappeared, the main range is now made up of uninspiring electric SUVs and the only exciting car in the range is the Corvette. How the mighty have fallen.

They played these commercials so much in the 90s that it’s engraved into my memory. Even the song cut off at the end I always know which note it ends on and sometimes I’ll get it stuck in my head lol. Bring back those Budweiser frogs!!!!!

It's 2024 and I'm daily driving a 1986 k30 single wheel with the ol 6.2,th400,np208,Dana 60 and 14 bolt.

Back then before actors took over , the good ol days.

The 90s and early 2000s … everything the Americans built were mediocre for the most part. But not the trucks.

this is not a chevy colorado this is holden colorado, walang ganyang version sa USA yun ganyan ko buti nabenta ko last year kasi magiging problema ko lang sa pyesa kasi ang hirap hanapin tapos ang mahal pa, 2020 model 2021 aquired pero 2.5 years pa lang sa akin nagkaproblema na ang aircon, kulelat na ang chevrolet sa pilipinas dami ng nag close na casa ng chevrolet. dismayado ako dyan nung malaman ko na walang ganyan version sa US dyan humina ang chevy kasi daming dismayadong kostumer

God damn it... this is the truck I want. I've got a 2019 AT4, but it's nothing compared to these trucks. UAW is who provides trucks like this. Thank the UAW for the toys we have.

I remember being a yougin eating frosted flakes while my mama was watching her "stories" (you a real if you know bout ya mama watching her stories) & the commercial popped on my fav part was always "OOOHHH LIKE A ROCK" lol. and till this day im still mad the 2door tahoe is rare

Sadly long gone are the days of catchy advertising jingles. All the whimsy has been replaced by "nutritional facts" and other types of charts in advertising campaigns. Not that there's anything wrong with nutritional facts, but some of the old-fashioned whimsical touches would do my heart good.
