This began with me posting DJ mixes that I love, so I could listen to them forever and also share them with the world. I've since began to create my own mixes, DJing and some production work here and there. This is currently a hobby of mine and I still have much to learn. And I still work full-time in IT Engineering - Digital Identity Security and Biometric solutions. However, now more than ever, I would love to see what it's like to DJ live at a party. Could almost bring you to tears listening to this...knowing what we experienced way back then...this trance/techno scene was nothing short of a phenomenon..a point in time celebration of life never to be felt in the same way again...pure magic those days
My life was forever turned up side down for ever 5-1-99 I was the last one in my family that was told that there was a duck boat sinking in hot springs arkansas and that 13 people died .... out of the 13 people we lost my dad , his 2 nd son and 2nd daughter 5 and 4 years old and my step brother lost his wife ... this album along with all I had to start to become which was a raver for life this music the people kept me moving foward and for that I am forever great ful.
This is an amazing 90 mins, however, his set from Creamfields ‘98 to this day is one of the I’ve ever heard. When the broadcast switches from Sasha to Oakey, Tong does the intro and it goes straight into the sledging beats of El Nino, an absolutely goosebumps moment.
You cannot overstate just how massive Oakenfold was back in the late 90’s. I remember listening to this live and still have the SA90 tape in a box in the garage. What a time we had back then, never to be repeated.
