Its in or around Buck Horn Draw in Utah's San Rafael Swell, east of Castle Dale. Due to the unseasonably hot temperatures that week, we had to pick hikes that provided some shade to avoid 'death march syndrome' LOL
Herb this was AWESOME to watch. Love the music. I was a little worried when you reached 135 miles per hour though. Hahaha😂 really enjoed this. Beautiful scenery
Well, the BLM is rather strict about sticking to established roads here. There are zones where you can free-for-all, and then specific trails of various difficulties. Remember the desert might take 50 years for tracks to vanish. Still, there are a million miles of roads and trails out here. I was thinking of doing Eagle Canyon soon, but it just rained hard yesterday and I'm going to give a few days for it to dry out. My brother lives across the road from Swing-Arm-City, one of those free-for-all zones of whoops made of fluffed Mancos Shale at the base of Factory Butte. That'd be a great place to get some air if you're in to that. And then there's Moab just down the way. I tend to enjoy staying away from the tourist zones. The San Rafael Swell is our little secret out here. Its almost entirely un-advertised and you can be out there on Dutch Flat Road on a holliday and only see one other vehicle the whole afternoon. Except Easter... Easter is a big deal here. The entire population empties out of the towns and camps out there.
