Well mine is this exact archimedes bath lift an mine got stuck at the bottom of the bath yesterday so that safety feature is what i call BULLSHIT! also the stupid remote wont charge just constant red light even after 24 hours on charge so now have to piss about waiting for occupational therapy to come out an see to it cos i aint paying 50 quid just for a new remote an deffo aint paying 350 for a whole new lift... good informative video though and well performed example.

This the most wonderful bathing aid imaginable, I have used one for many years for long relaxing baths, reading or even dozing. I cannot recommend it highly enough!
We would recommend putting the Mangar Bathing Cushion into the bath deflated and without water. You can then either run yourself a hot bath, before or after inflating the cushion, ready to get in.
My disabled mother desperately needs this. But at the price it sells for I nor her could ever afford this. Absolutely ridiculous. An automotive jumpstarter with a built in tire inflator and a adult inflatable chair will do the trick. At way way way less than half the cost and I can jump start my car and have an inflatable chair to put wherever. You all should be ashamed of yourself charging people that much for a tiny air compressor and some plastic.
I think 4 because pt has limited mobility/ ability to transfer and it’s a manual handling video so demonstrating all aspects of manual handling issues in this scenario. I’ve seen these used 1:1 when the pt has just fallen , no impairment or injury and can bottom shuffle onto camel and therefore one person assist only to inflate and reassure pt .
Yes the Airflo Compressor does make a noise whilst inflating the lifting cushion, however we can assure you it's not scary for the care provider or the user. This is exactly why our Mangar Lifting Cushion's are the lifting equipment of choice for all NHS ambulances.
@@andybeech9277 I have used these devices regularly, this particular device is not very loud; however, other more heavy-duty inflatable emergency equipment can be very noisy. An example of this would be the HoverTech for the HoverJack or HoverMatt, Banana Flojack etc... that is used in hospitals for falls procedures; this is actually a better tool to keep the person's spine straight before transfer. I am a Moving and Handling trainer and I regularly inflate the above and use these on delegates and patients. My smart watch activates whenever the above devices are used (96dB) loud environment warning. It never activates when inflating using the Mangar products.

until care home management are educated to not phone for ambulances for every little thing and take some responsibility for their residents ambulances will still be the first call.
